Nope, they made quite a few 6-pot 2.6 LWB's and very few 1-ton 2a's (like this one) which also had the 2.6 6-pot engine.

Is it an original diesel or a defender engine in that IIA, maybe another car engine youve put in?

Its a 2.6 straight-6 petrol. Original type of engine but the actual original one threw a rod on the A65.
the original??? Wouldnt it have been a 2.25?
No mate, some version did have the 2625cc in line six cylinder engine, like mine. ;)

one ton landie, is ures a lightweight? we have a 1992 defender and its 3 tons according to landrover
No, mine is a 1-ton, as it has a 1-ton payload. Kerb weight is about 1700KG,
