makes sense to me...in my current model of understanding...our 'soul' is our authentic self, our earth self, is where the ego and the soul are manifest in the physical, beyond the soul is our Source Self that we all are before we become soul-selves, then physical selves with an ego. Part of the journey is to wake-up, get reacquainted with our soul-self (authentic self) and bring more of that into the physical realm, transforming more of the ego-self and shadow self as we journey along.

There is no "personal" enlightenment. Personal is the ego or self, and ENLIGHTENMENT IS EGO DEATH. A better way to think about it is that the authentic self is 100% of you and the ego is an illusion, but if you are living in illusion (much of it imagination ego)) and the authentic self reaches a point where it influences the individual more than the ego (51%) then there is no going back.

He used to seem like such an antagonist to me. But as I've grown, I can see the deeper love he his defending and exemplifying. I've always been drawn towards the cutting edge in music, but Andrew makes that the focus of all life rather than just a part of it.

He's talking about % of awakened self (vs unawakened ego-driven self). It's pretty straight forward. No one said he was the messiah, he's just some guy spouting his ideas and subjective experience along with the general movement's ideas... more people need to do this. I think we need less people trying to be 'teachers' and more people just talking about this stuff.
