12-10-2011. Happy 70th Birthday, Chad. I remember you two performing this on an episode of Batman in the 1960's. Has it really been that long? How time flys.
I had known of these guys when I started listening to oldies in high school but I never paid much attention to them. Recently I came across them online and after listening to a couple of songs, I now want to know more of their music.
I was 17 & working at 2 radio stations that summer. Weekends at WTRY in Troy, NY & weeknights at WDOT in Burlingtonn VT. The requests for this were unbelievable. Thanks for posting & giving everyone a chance to hear a song that has been forgotten by the radio programmers of today.
Distant Shores - Chad & Jeremy [London, England] - No.30 on 8/13/1966. 2 weeks Top 40. - "Very pleasent guitar/vocals. By future Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears producer James Guercio." - The Very Best Of Chad & Jeremy (Verese)-2000.
Maybe some one that listens to Chad and Jeremy will know this song; It has the lyrics "I want, want to know, I love, love you so", a guy played it on the bus but I forget the name he said.
My Favorite Chad and Jeremy song from Summer 66' I was at Virginia Beach and had just graduated from High School and I kept hearing this song on the radio.
Beautiful, haunting melody harks back to the days of the 60s when life so quiet, Sunday afternoons in the fields, breeze blowing your face.....remembering brings bittersweet feelings all over again...
Distant Shores, by Chad & Jeremy was released on August 16,1965. and i first heard it on an episode of Batman during the 70's. Such sweet memories that song has gave me.
Yes, thanks so much for this - great song and great audio quality. I first heard this song about 20 years ago - the instrumental version by Laurindo Almeida (anyone have it to post?).
A beautiful song indeed until Catwoman had to spoil it with her Voice Eraser!

A unique quality about this duet was that they were able to make even their unison sound good...the harmonies were just a bonus. Thank you gentlemen.

i was young teenager and played these beautiful songs day and night. it has
been over several decades, since i have heard this song.it prompted me to
look for and i actually did find the original album. it seems that the
music of the 60-s and my youth was the best.thank you for bringing
this music and other back to the baby boomers,

there are passages that are straight out of "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" and that 's not a bad thing

It's been far too long since I've heard this one. I think I just melted in my chair. THIS is how music should sound, isn't it?
