Quality of the animation is awful. Sooooooooo awful. There's no doubt that the artwork & concept is beautiful only because it's the work of James Jean, however he's not the animator. This Jared Purrington fellow is.

There's criticism stating it's not art, that the female is stiff. I personally have no issues with the female, it is comp animation, most are stiff.

As for it not being art. If it was abstract or installation art for pseudo intellects then it would be kosure.

James Jean's a genius and multi-talented (as are most naturally gifted people.) His work surpasses most art out there.

There's a theme in this regarding nature and fashion.

She walks like a model. This is Prada, it works.

i have this huge book all about james jean and i got that before this

and i was looking at the prada dresses with jame's pictures on it and saying ive seen them before or stuff like it. I did some research and found this out!

The imagery is derivative of 30 year-old Moebius cartoons, at best, with a slight dose of Peter Max graphics (or Styx's "The Grand Illusion" album cover) thrown in for good measure. To make four minutes of animation so stunningly boring is an accomplishment, of sorts, but it certainly isn't art.
