What? ... For 10 years? They could have done one song a year and we could have had an ozzy/sabbath album by now with bonus tracks but they get with Ronnie, do three new tracks to go on a compilation CD, a tour to support that CD, releasing remastered Dio era Sabbath in a box set, a tour to support that, and then a full album, to which another tour will unfold to support that. Maybe they should get drunk more often because being sober with Ozzy has killed Sabbath.

The main problem is that Ozzy cannot sing anymore. He can do barely 10 songs live. That's why Sabbath continued with Dio, he still has quality and can help them keep the Sabbath stone rolling

Dio says he left Rainbow on his own, but Bob Daisley says they both were let go because Ritchie wanted to push towards a more mainstream and write more radio friendly songs. Also about 6 months before Cozy Powell died there were talks about a Rainbow Rising Reunion Dio/Blackmore/Powell/Bain.

I believe the story did not come directly from Ritchie's mouth but through the grapevine that the music direction was shifting. Ritchie had already let others go. I think the writing was on the wall. Until we hear from Ritchie as too whether Ritchie initiated and said you are out or Ronnie stepped up and say well since you are changing directions then I am out we won't know. It could had been as well that he wanted Ronnie to stay but sing differently. Ronnie left.

Sabbath is Iommi and whoever the fuck he wants to play with. However, Geezer is my personal favourite Sabbath bassist, and Bill is my favourite Sabbath drummer. As for singers, either Ozzy or Dio are my favourites, although Gillan did a nice job, and Tony Martin is underrated.

I completely agree. I myself like the Eternal Idol, and the Headless cross album. I like some tracks off the Tyr album as well. There's some good stuff on Cross purposes. Unfortunately on Forbidden Ice Tea doing rap on illusion of Power disturbed me.
