Just write your resume in English then! We do write our resume in English even if we are applying to a local company. The reason you mentioned in your video is not acceptable.
@HoneyMonster222 All I was saying is that someone who have just been out of Indonesia for 4 of their ADULT years will NOT lose their Indonesian. If you were born in Indonesia and THEN spend 4 years abroad immediately, you might not be able to speak Indonesian, that's true. But this girl - from what I understand is she graduated high school in Indonesia and THEN move to Singapore (SINGAPORE...not ZIMBABWE) to study for 4 years and she dare to claim that she's losing her Indonesian? Bull**it!!
Perasaan kamu ngomongnya sudah dengan indonesia sekali deh,, c'mon i even say si-vi for CV but u said ce-ve wich is totally indonesian...as also with the resume,, so honestly, jangan-jangan kamu sok2an aja ya..
@citta504 oh aku malah ga tau kalo di indo biasanya ngomongnya si-vi.. aku biasanya ngomong resume. jd biasanya di indo bilangnya kasih si-vi ya? ato ada kata lain?
I saw this video with a little contempt but concern as well. I honestly think that your so-called language problem is trivial. Stop deluding yourself with the idea that you can speak English better than your own mother tongue - it's NOT true. For heavens sakes you've just been out of your country for 4 years! It's not like you grew up in Singapore or anything. Plus, you DO NOT have to speak perfect rigid Indonesian on interviews, the way you speak is perfectly FINE! Get over it!
@eriquerique hi, i realized i might have conveyed the idea that i speak english better than indonesian. you're right, i don't. The thing is - it's not that I can't, but I'm out of practice. I have never practiced interviewing in Indonesian and that makes me really unsure about doing interviews in Indonesia using Indonesian.
@sylvg you should aim for a job in indo that use english as its intermediary. Honestly, i dont think you realized how Indonesian businesses evolve nowadays. The higher your position are, the more english you have to use for everyday language, such as in meetings or composing emails. Peace <3
Hi... love this vid^^ Sylvia masih bagus koq bahasa Indonesianya^^ kalo bisa jangan sampai dilupain ya^^ dipelajari lagi ya... bukan cuma conversational Indonesian tapi juga bahasa akademisnya ^^ percaya deh ntr pasti ada gunanya buat kamu ^^ smangat ya!!
