about the backround of Akhand Keertanee Jatha.. during Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee's times, the way of doing keertan in raag was almost lost.. and he started doing keertan in a way that conveys the emotion and message of the shabad, which is true to the original purpose of shabads, even though he had no raag vidhya.. personally, i've never heard anything as devotional and loving as keertan done in AKJ style.. vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh!

IF they want to make gurvah/bruah sound its fine, but I am still going to say he made that sound, if some1 has problem, then tough. Same with monkey sound, if someone is breathing in and out in a way to make a sound on same frequency as sound of monkey, then its logical to say that that's the sound heard. There's no need to defend special brand of kirtan, it sounds like what it sounds like, no need for excuses.

Yes back then it was british raj so kirtan like raag was forgotten cos the traditional sikhs had been kicked out of gurdwarey and sikhi was taught in chirstian schools. Bhai Randhir Singh himself was taught sikhi by ex british officer teja singh Bhasauria so their sikhi lacks lineage.
