I was just in NYC on saturday and i was drivng home i past where the world trade center was being built n u no wat??? ITS NOT THE SAME!!!!! They should still be here!!! RIP to those who died n 9/11

At one time, everyone hated those buildings. They looked ugly when they were built. Now after there gone, everyone misses them. I miss them, and I never seen them is person. They were on every t.v shows in the 80's. You guys don't know what you got till it's gone, just like the song. Love every thing you have and kick the hate to the curb. Towers will come to symbolize much in this world. U.S. has not and will not ever be the same again. Anyone old enough to remember pre 9-11-2001, knows it's very different now. Very different.

ive been there and it was such a wonderful, awe inspiring place, u really take it for granted. i miss it. im so sorry and hurt to all the people who worked there i was talking to, laughing and joking and now they r gone. i never thought i'd endure such a thing so young in my life, to have memories of people now dead. we need to get all these terrorist bullies and crush them

Looking at these wonderful images it looks like these two artworks appeared to be 2 eternal lights into the sky.Instead,it was their last - and wonderful - night.

I waited all these years hoping that they would have rebuilt them.But..it looks like they don't want,so this is really the last night that Twin Towers gave us. Those 2 polar stars in NYC sky actually said us goodbye.

They should rebuild them. Most newyorkers don't agree with the project of Freedom Tower and would like to see Twin Towers back...

@alexrm82 Too late now! And they wont remove everything theyve already built... i passed by ground zero today its already 37 storys and their already working on the memorial waterfalls. The only thing to do.. is to start a protest with all new yorkers that vote to have the normal WTC buildings back.

Really? The Freedom Tower works reached 37 stories, already??? If true, i fear any kind of protest would be useless, now. I think the protest should have been stronger since some years ago, when it was still possible to convert this wrong project...

Forgive a question: as I live in Italy I don't know exactly how was the situation there....the question is: did enough people know in USA (and in NY State particularly) that there was the alternative project called Twin Towers II?

Did they protest strong enough? Or, oppositely, people simply didn't care and let the things took this way?

@alexrm82 Twin Towers II as in the Freedom Tower? not many people know.. Some do and do not accept the freedom tower to be built and the WTC sight... they would rather want to see the old World Trade Centers the #1 landmark for tourists ect.
