  • How long did it take for them to arrive?

  • I HAVE NOW POSTED THIS ENTIRE, UNEDITED FOOTAGE IN ORIGINAL HD --- you will find them (2 parts) among my other uploaded videos.

  • The fireman at 9.20 had guts, getting that close without knowing what was in there and the morons driving past right behind him...

  • i hate to be a dick but that chick asking the questions is semi retarded

  • "Omg thers a fire on the hillside" "what do you want me to do about it!" XD lmfao

  • @XxNaSRI08xX LOLOL i was laughing too

  • what was in the back of the truck?Does anyone know for sure what he was hauling?

  • Time to repeat what I said before: THE DRIVER WAS NOT TRAPPED IN THE TRUCK-- HE WAS IGNORING EVERYONE WHILE TRYING TO SALVAGE PERSONAL BELONGINGS!

  • I still can't figure out why the hill caught fire, its likely it caught on just by exposure. For truck fires they'll have to send a hazmat truck out, especially if they don't know what its cargo is.

  • These ppl going by would shit if a tire blew and hit thier car. They wouldnt keep going by a vehicle fire after they did i can bet that. Gah! stupid idiots

  • was pretty crazy watching the tires blow, and btw people were really close.... adn what was with the idiots driving in the middle of the road?????

  • @liberalinthedesertaz im guessing the heat from the fire might bubble the paint or something or they are just idiots..idk

  • @bigbuckboy95 think they are more then likely idiots lolz

  • @shahzebamin it did but ti seems pretty rural. Maybe the call came in as a brush fire?

  • "honey go help the man in the burning fire truck.* iPhone auto spell sucks

  • Wow sad how a camera tape was more important then possibly saving a mans life. What has the world come to. "homey go help the man in the but it semi truck!" "hold on babe, let me get tape for my camera first."

  • just read the description. camera tape > man's life. don't worry im just busting your balls

  • haven't seen any bleves yet just a pressure flare from the boiling fuel

  • His wife: OMG that stick just fell off the truck

  • Hey Moron. Can't you read and are you blind? The white engine is a county rig type II structure engine. The red engine is a Type III state forest rig. Since you don't know shit, quit commenting on stuff you know nothing about. It is know it alls like you that give all of us a bad name.

  • The ff isnt even wearing a helmet! retard! that guy shold not be a fire fighter

  • @Denmarkmaine1 Poor firefighting skills though. Should have had a back up line in place before attacking the fire. Captain would had our asses if we didnt

  • @etnie327 Hey dumbass! These guys got dispatched to a vegetation fire not a commerical truck fire. They had to switch to bunker gear once they got to the scene. Not only was the Captain handling the vehicle fire, he was also coordinating the attack on the vegetation fire. Fire contained to 3 acres of vegetation and the truck. If they tape lasted just a few more minutes, you would so that both firefighters would have finally made it into FULL bunker gear including a shiny red helmet

  • @CDFCaptain93 wtf are you talking about? I never said they were dispached to a damn commercial truck fire. maybe if you watch the video closer mr. CDFcaptain, you would notice its a fucking brush rig with arriving firefighters in wildland gear! Glad your not my captain. Go do a walk-around and get your head out of your ass!

  • I Think You Got It Mixed Up Because Hwy 152 Is 30 Or 40 Miles Away From The Cities Limits And It's Not In The Santa Clara County Side And Behind It Is The San Luis Res.

  • Good video. We just watched it at work for some vehicle fire and fire behavior training with our new boy. Thanks for helping firefighters learn.

  • Thats what ya call a blown engine!!!!

  • how about the driver is he ok

  • what the fuck cant believe people are driving so close specially that guy on motorcycle. that heat has to be intense

  • would have been nice to see someone pull over (atleast at the begining of the fire) and see if anyone was in there or try to help.

  • Haha, I agree, definite signs of exasperation with the missus there! And, yes, an excellent single-handed start to the knockdown.

  • That firefighter made a pretty good knock with only one line. Pays to know what you're doing when you have a short crew.

  • Don't u think they needed a bigger fire engine?

  • That was very rude to you lady friend "what do you want me to do about it" You could have said "I see it I hope it doesn't spread"!

  • hillarious

  • kill it with water

  • did anyone get hurt ??!

  • Any one know what caused the fire ?

  • @outlaw3474 most likely an electrical shortage under the hood, thats where most of them start. my grandfather owns a trucking company and recently this year, he had a tractor go up in flames entireley, just like this. burned a hole in the trailer so it turned the trailer into an oven, destroyed everyhing. as you can, in 10 mins, these trucks go up fast. dangerous, truck fires, are

  • @outlaw3474 Stupid people

  • I SWEAR PEOPLE IN WHATEVER STATE THIS IS ARE FUCKING INCREDIBLE STUPID AND FUCKING RETARDED"......LOL THE WERE DRIVING LIKE 10 FEET( MAYBE LESS ) NEXT TO A FULLY ENGULFED TRUCK THAT COULD'VE EXPLODED"...AND THEN CALLED THE FIRE DEPT LIKE 8 MINUTES INTO IT" LOL...BOY BOY BOY PEOPLE ARE STUPID!

  • @Kingofkings920 was about to say the same thing.

  • Never ceases to amaze me: you have a fully engulfed truck and trailer carrying god knows what, and people think nothing of driving by a couple of feet away... What if that trailer was full of propane bottles?? How about if the side of the trailer failed suddenly and fell outward- right towards you??

  • think the chick needs to move on!

  • I'm sure that could be buff out

  • 8:37 that jackass cutoff that tractor trailer truck...nice video

  • Haha shit, those guys are troopers. First guy's up there in coveralls and the second guy just single hands it the whole time :P

  • where the hell was the fire department

  • @tfreshx978 in the middle of nowhere, it takes a VOLUNTEER fire dept some time to get to a fire.

  • @PROJECT89PRIME It takes ANY dept a while to get to the middle of nowhere.

  • @tfreshx978 probably somewhere that ISN'T in the middle of nowhere... It takes time to get there. ESP when it happens out in east jesus, and is called in on cell phones by folks who don't really know exactly where they are. Then you have to wade your way though the logjam of looky-loos.

  • where did the truck driver go?! those fire fighter took forever!!

  • where did the truck driver go?!

  • OK first off what the hell is the damn CHP doing sitting on there arse ? Both lanes of traffic on that side of the highway should have been shut down period.

  • The first firefighter on the nozzle is out of his mind... no helmet or SCBA?

  • [sighs] that truck has seen better days

  • California Drivers are so selfish, they didn't give those fire fighters barely any room to work.

  • Now THAT is a rippin truck fire :]

  • 152 isnt in San Jose, it's coming from the Central Valley into Gilroy

  • Was that CDF that showed up witht the red international?

  • Notice the fire started in the cabin or near it, so it was either the driver left his George Foreman grill on...or the refrigeration for the truck (pending it was holding cold items) when haywire.

  • @Cricky75 Or the brakes overheated and cooked somehting off, or the wiring to the trailer maulfunctioned, or the wiring in the truck malfunctioned, or the truck over heated, or a million other things could of happened.

  • Why not park the Fire Engine behind the truck, to protect the FF from oncoming traffic? I'm just a UPS driver.

  • la gente si es inconsiente pasan al lado del camion como si nada sin percatarse del peligro

  • omg did any calll 911?

  • what cuased the fire by the way this rig is now only fit for the smelter at the mill

  • This Is Los Banos !!!!! Getting to Gilroy ! Not San Jose !

  • cool, especially that slow desintegration of that truck is amazing

  • Where in the hell is the second man to help the guy on the line?

  • Where was the dang fire department .

  • At 2:18 that explosion was from a fire extinguisher that was left in front of the truck when the hood fell off of the front.

  • Shut that side of the highway down.

  • there will not be anything left by the time the fire dept arrives on scene were are they

  • hey look ill put it out with a fire extinuisher lol shoulve saved it for the grass fire

  • the people do not know the dancgers of a fire in a truck....

  • Whoa, you say the dude was still in the cab???? WTF, nobody stops and just drives by! Bad!

  • @michalexa2000

Lol thats California people for you.

  • haha "what do you want me to do about it"!!!! hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • I love how people are just driving by like there is no problem.....

  • Thats what people do.

  • mmmmm,toasty :P

  • Sucks that we can't go on the phone and dial 911 while driving anymore D:

Also, I hope this person called 911 before videotaping :)

  • I love it how every1 just keeps on driving by I mean if it exploded at that same second who know they could have been killed to hmm... just seems unsafe at least some of the cars pulled to the middle road part that seemed smarter :)

  • that woman .....

  • I would've just let it burn to the ground and then sweep up the mess and hose off the rest lol.

  • @1pinchipendejo I would have let it burn out too if it were possible. The problem is that the road is asphalt which burns kind of like bunker fuel used in a ship if it is heated enough. It is probably cheaper putting out the fire than repairing the road.

  • everybody keep on moving (can't get stuck in traffic) you should have stopped the road!

  • were the fire dept ? did any one call ?

  • san jose ? lol... noooo

  • We must same the cargo

  • the chattering wife in the background is hilarious... the truck on fire is getting more attention than she is and she can't stand the competition.. lol

  • żaden sie kurwa nie zatrzymał co za cioty

  • the same thing happend to me exept it was in a 1992 gmc topkick. it had eletrical problems sufferd burns but full recoverd

  • haha "what do you want me to do about it?"

  • @State1Trooper haha i heared that too, every husband says that at some point dont they?

  • @State1Trooper I laughed till I cried at his remark!

  • wonder if anyone bothered to check and see if it was placarded for hazmat while standing that close to it.

  • Hazmat needs to be placarded on all four sides of the vehicle while in transport.... It would be obvious if it was hazmat.

  • You can tell it's California, broke ass state must have 1 cop and 1 fire dept. for the whole state! No wonder it is always on fire! It takes a year for them to respond!

  • the inital responce time for the fire department alone is 11 minutes avg.. so there right on time.

  • wow calis not broke i live in cali. we have great firefighters and police.

  • I just love how the cars are just driving by like nothing is going on. If that sucker had exploded, someone would have got toasted.

  • I love the guy.....he sounds so annoyed...

Esp the "Wuduya want me to do about it?" line.......sounds like he wants to toss the wife in there.

  • If yo have more, why not post a part 2?

  • i give that 1 firefighter credit, taken that on by him self with those dumbass driven right beside him

  • one fire fighter?where was the traffic control? good job to tthat fire fighter but why so slow that was some backwards shit!

  • like hello did anyone stop...no...did the driver get out ??

  • excellent work!

  • AHAHA

"wuduya want me to do about it?"

    dude, wheres the 5-0

cops dont give a fuck about accidents

i saw a car slam doing 40 rite into the side of a new mustang and it took cops like 15 minutes

    IN DOWNTOWN

    fuckit

  • "THERES A FIRE ON THE HILL SIDE!"

"whadaya want me to do about it?"

    HAHAHAHAHAAHA!!

    I love that 2!

Also, August 15th My Bday! :D

  • damn.. where's part 2?

    Nice video

  • Good to capture such an event. No police came to direct traffic??

  • good camera work was driver out and ok sure took a along time for the fire department .

  • That lone firefighter did a commendable job of bringing the fire under control by himself.

  • haha "what do you want me to do about it"

  • poor kenworth. you can see the headlights are still on

  • WOW!

  • Dude you are all heroes.... I was talking about a small car fire and goddam park rangers who stood stymied when the car was burning, three girls in it... That's America for ya.

  • sure didnt take long to burn to a crisp did it?

  • man. foreigners, not alot of people are firefighters in the U.S. there's nothing they can do when a truck is on fire. A small car (ABC) type fire extinguisher couldn't put out a large truck fire, not only that, but they can get burned, and the explosion risk is much greater, because they don't have the equipment. The safest way to put out a truck fire is run lines.

  • That amazes me about you Americans. You get out and film, but you do not help. I had a car burning at a National Park, and the rangers just stood there. And then I had a car burning that hit a semi, and the truck driver just stood there, on the phone, and the guy in the car was still in there, and it was burning. Traffic just blasted by. What's wrong with you people, why don't you help, for crying out loud???

  • Dude, fires like this are dangerous! The civilians are very right to stand clear. Firefighters have to handle this kind of thing. Honestly, Do you think that some random guy is packing an 1'3/4 line in his car?

  • What else are you supposed to do?

    The driver got out okay.

Im pretty sure alot of people called police.

  • I don't know what county you're from but, I lived in Germany for four years. My wife and I were in a wreck traveling through france. Of all the vehicles who drove past us (we were in the fast lane when the car came to rest) one stopped... an American business man. So which example proves a point... neither do. People are people don't try to make a broad assumption about members of a country based on your one situation, cause I can think of a few wars that would prove we're braver than you are.

  • what are you gonna put the fire out with your bare hands what are you supposed to do..........wow

  • Andddddd....what exactly are you expecting people to do with a fire like that? Driver got out and the fire is beyond raging. Do you want them to start pissing on the fire?? Come on....think about what you asking here.

  • To save the cargo.

  • @chechnya how do you plan on saving the cargo? about the only way to do that is drop the trailer but the truck was already fully involved. you going to unload it on the road? i doubt it. try thinking before you type.

  • @truckerjay1 Hmm.. not sure what that response was to.

  • ok. its kinda confusing cause i remember a fire in aug 08 near san jose at tully and 101

  • lol.. cars just going by like. MEH watevvver.

  • SWIFTly melting away

  • god bless that fire fighter

  • great footage thx

  • Great video, but just one thing. Terrible placement of the trucks, they would have been so much better off placing them to block the traffic and at least provide some protection for themselves.

  • agreed, i actually couldnt believe traffic was goin by like that, even the cops, why didnt they close the road down?

  • This looks like 101 rather than 152.

  • where are the firefighters?! what the fuck is taking them so long?!

  • I'm sure people called by cell phone where it automatically goes to CHP. CHP has to transfer it to the local dispatch where they have to tone out the closest stations. Now that takes a while plus them responding. This is also out in a rural area where the closest station could be miles away.

  • How dumb driving pass this if it exploded more people could have got hurt or other vehicles could have caught fire great footage

  • Dear Santa,

Incredible Video you filmed..Santa really kept it cool while filming. well done!

  • Wow,great video, love to see the vid in full.I wonder what made it go up like that?

  • poor kenworth

  • It took them aloooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to get on scene. Did you call 911. It seemed like maybe 6 plus mintues before they arrived. I can't tell by the edited cut's. Awesome vid. Your wife is funny. She reminds me of my wife. Asking sooo many question's.

  • my stuff was in that truck, same with my families things.

  • what??? did they pay for it??

  • sadly no. nothin happened, we couldn't even get a settlment out of it

  • that is insane. you lost everything and they did nothing, piece of crap trucking company. did you have any insurance?

  • @midknight9000 what company was that that moved your stuff and didnt pay when something like this happens?

  • NICE VID, AWESOME JOB!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU!!! I sent a copy of the entire 19-minute video to the firefighters involved, and they are using it as a training film now!

As a videographer, I AM SO JAZZED!!!

  • "What do you want me to do about it?" @ :11. lmao

  • right place & right time Santa..remember always keep that battery charged & a tape in there..I dont go to burger king without my camera

  • good video, just to let you know this fire was in santa nella on 152, the first engine on scene was a merced co. fire engine. i know it because i'm a merced co. firefighter, i'm a volunteer. all of the co. volunteer firefighters respond to calls in our personal vehicles. so when you see some one pullingup to a fire scene in a personal vehicle, it just might be a firefighter.

  • THANK YOU!!! THAT explains why that guy happened to have so many fire extinguishers in his truck-- and why he made no effort to leave when the CHP arrived and told us to...

  • what did chp tell you

  • "If you're not involved, leave."

  • Sorry but this is not in San Jose, It is Near Santa Nella, San Jose is about 30 miles north,

  • Man. I sure am glad you went back to you vehicle to get that tape instead of helping the diver out of that BURNING truck! I guess the good of the many (you tube viewers) out weighs the good of the few (the driver that was in imminent peril of dying a horrible death in a burning truck)

  • As I said before: THE DRIVER WAS NOT TRAPPED IN THE TRUCK-- HE WAS IGNORING EVERYONE URGING HIM TO GET OUT WHILE TRYING TO SALVAGE PERSONAL BELONGINGS!

  • I am glad he got out. I have responded to Truck fires and have seen a driver who did not get out. Numerous vehicles passed this truck without any concern whatsoever. This department responded with an engine and two firefighters. The traffic should have been stopped and not allowed to go through the median. This put the Firefighters and opposing traffic at extreme risk. It also put those drivers at risk of any explosions. Then, it appeared that a car tried to pass a truck in the median.

  • Wow, so many problems here, I don't where to start. But first and foremost I can't believe you were so concerned with your lack of tape while the driver remained in the vehicle. Forget the tape and do what you can to help. When lives are at stake who cares about a video.

  • There was only one sentence separating "the driver was still in the cab" and "the driver got out OK". In fact, the driver was trying to remove personal property, & was ignoring our urging for him to get out... "Lives" were never "at stake"-- and as a professional videographer, I care about the video. And, judging by the viewing rate in the first couple of hours, I'd say that many others do, as well...

Perhaps you'd like to pick another of the "so many problems here", and start there...?

  • OUTSTANDING video quality, job well done :)

That truck responding wont have enough water on board to stop that inferno. BTW..wife is an idiot, no common sense. Did she point out the fire to the responding fire unit?? They get one slap for each "OH MY GOD"...
