As of now, the global financial crisis has not yet reach the Philippines but as soon as reality sinks in due to the massive layoffs around the globe. Filipinos would start to feel the effect of this catastrophe. Most Filipinos nowadays are not interested in farming and western influence have forced the youth to live like their hollywood idols. They lost their survival instinct and became dependent to remittances coming from relatives or family members working abroad.
