Probably b/c No Virtual PC software supports mult-core processors. So each program is trying to access the same single core, and your pc doesn't allow it.

Hmm...But this guy does open more than one Virtual machine program at the same time in this video. I have tried to open Virtual PC and VBOX, but it stops when I try to load a virtual machine in the VBOX while VPC is running. Strange :(

For better Windows virtualisation, use VM or VPC

For Linux, VMWare or VBox

no you need 2 seprate pc's unless you open the program in second screen, and to do so go to C://WINDOWS - look for your drivers for the 2nd screen then just open alow accses to (virtual machione software)then change the seting to XP-allow system 2.0

Thanks for the vid! I have used Virtual Box and VMWare. Unfortunately I didn't get to use VMWare cause it has issues with Vista and Toshiba but I got Virtual Box to run Linux and XP Pro SP2 and its great. Virtual machines are the future.

Good effort. Thanks. However, you CAN install Linux in Virtual PC. MS just doesn't give automated settings for it anymore. There are pros and cons to all these virtual machines, and all can be useful.
