  • If im a girl, 20 years old 140lbs... would i be eating TWO KINDS of carbs at lunch? like you show there, rice AND the sweet potato?

and if i should be eating at least 140g of protein then, how many grams of carbs and how many grams of fat? i´v heard that i should be careful with the carbs and fat and keep it very low. So how much would be good for me? i weigh 115lbs without fat (meaning with, bones, organs and muscle and that good stuff)

  • What a GREAT VIDEO !!! That's actually just the way Im eating :D !!! AWESOME

  • Good vid. That's basically how I eat. I used to use the Gold Standard Whey protein you have there, but have switched to syntha six. The Gold Standard Whey protein isn't a good multi protein source protein, and tastes like crap. Anyone reading this that uses the Gold Standard, try the Syntha six. You won't be disappointed. I realize there is a lot of debate on protein sources, but no matter what you use, try and have a MULTI PROTEIN SOURCE protein. Good vid man.

  • @Ben762x51 i used to use gold standard, gave me the biggest stomach cramps it tastes like crap and made me sick .. GROSS=) i use lean desert protein =) YUM

  • fuck that, eat what u want and get on the steds, its a lot cheaper,ye haaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • well for all of this i need only 2000$ for food and supplements per month!!! O_O"

  • So if I drink "G Series Gatoraid" I'll get big?

  • WHAT is your definition of "clean," sir? I assume you are talking about clean digestion? In terms of food combining rules, this is anything but clean.

  • @JennieRaw he is talking about eating CLEAN... not processed junk but one ingredient food type things, chicken, broccoli, almonds, apple. All one ingredient, nothing added = CLEAN

  • Good, but not enough fat. Fat is vital in bodybuiling. Tin Salmon, Sardines, Oilive oil and maybe a small peice of cheese. Otherwise you won't grow to full potential.

  • would females eat like this if they are working out >tryn to lose weight n gain muscle>?

  • Id rather eat my carbs and protein for post-workout thank you very much. Fuck Gatorade.

  • oh my god. So much pseudoscience. Wow

  • WHY THE FUCK EVERYBODY EATS BURNED CHICKEN BREAST ?

  • tracking your calories and macros is the most straight forward approach to nutrition

  • No matter what you eat the basic formula is the same. Eat carbs that you can used for energy about 2 or 3 hours before you work out. Eat a small item like an apple or orange one hour before you work out for a boost of energy. And after you're done working out, eat a chicken or something with protein in it. Don't forget your veggies for dinner later.

  • I eat eggs and Tuna after i workout

    is that ok?

  • @Etyopis you can eat whatever the fuck you want... This guy is a broscientist.

  • @Etyopis add some veggies with that, you need a good source of carb after you workout to replenish your energy. I dont reccomend eating the yolk after working out, fat after workouts slows something down that i cannot remember the name of:P

  • Durka lol

  • i love that song in the background u2 - beautiful day

  • Hello! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cooworker got great Six pack abs and lost a truck load of of belly fat with it.

  • Oh hello! Have you tried - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend got amazing Six pack abs and lost a lot of weight with it.

  • For a nightime snack I eat cheerios with a little sugar

  • •The average adult needs 0.8 grams per kilogram (2.2lbs) of body weight per day.

•Strength training athletes need about 1.4 to 1.8 grams per kilogram (2.2lbs) of body weight per day

•Endurance athletes need about 1.2 to 1.4 grams per kilogram (2.2lbs) of body weight per day

    Notice is kilograms not pounds..

  • For a snack, I like dark chocolate m&ms, organic raw almonds, organic cranberries, and raisins

  • I usually just have low fat cottage cheese before I sleep because ya high in protein and dairy products are slow to digest, but that's just me.

  • I just farted

  • lol a measuring cup with no measurements on it

  • dam u eat at the gym like a bawwss

  • 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight? wtf??? im 160 thats like 26 eggs!!! theres no way i can eat that much protein. and im not buying protein shakes or bars ever!!! NEVER!!!

  • @KingVictorious27 it's about 21 eggs... but you wouldn't be getting it all in one go, you'd be consuming that over 4+ meals over the course of the day. it's pretty easy without shakes

  • @KingVictorious27 then eat shrimp, chicken, tuna... its not that hard, you dont need protein powders for it =) even your 30 g of oats has 5g protein :)

  • you have the blue casein that one has sucralose aka splenda aka cancer!!

  • @linnywinnie5 you´d have to be eating a bath tub worh of fake sugars a day to get cancer from it

  • umm you need fat to digest protein. Egg whites without sat fat are pointless.

  • @nikolatesla08 You know not what you are talking about. My MSc thesis is in protein digestion and utilization. You do NOT need fat to digest protein. A good amount of fats are healthy for many other purposes, but not for protein digestion.

  • @chrissmith338 this isn't even wroth arguing its science

  • @nikolatesla08 Haha....then show me this 'science' of yours

  • you look like Lynette Scavo's husband

  • Greatest video I've seen so far

  • Do you put anything on the salad or do you eat it dry? Can you add salsa or something other than salad dressing?

  • @Punshr Little olive or canola oil + vinegar of choice (I like balsamic) + a little dijon if you want + salt and pepper = delicious and healthy dressing.

  • @chrissmith338 Sounds good.. I used to add fresh Salsa(lime,Tomato,Jalapeno,Cilantro &onion)

    .I'll try yours.

  • "Eat food that looks like your brain!! You know that brainy look? Cashews and almonds and even vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli look like that!"

Apologies but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. But it's a great video otherwise, some useful tips

  • I don't see a very good balance of omega 3 to omega 6 fats here. And there is no reason to be afraid of the egg yolks. My experience has been that eating healthy fats(coconut, avocado, omega 3 rich free range eggs, grass fed beef, and wild caught fish)does not make you fat.

  • thank you so much for this video, you got straight to the point, this is great advice.

  • The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Doug Graham. END OF STORY.

  • Carbs - Before = Gives you energy.

Protein - After = Muscle recovery.

Simple, you learn that when your 10 in Biology...

  • Thank you!!!

  • Thank you man great music in the background!!

  • u2 in the background at the beginning ftw ;D

  • Hidden advertisement- bla bla blah blah, this brought to you by optimum nutrition and gatorade.

  • pause at 00:28 :D

  • thanx man !!!!

  • That is not isolate.

  • also with the oatmeal, do you boil it first or just add the milk and eat it like cereal??

  • @hjillagen doesnt matter. same thing

  • Comment removed

  • Drink coconut water.

  • Awesome info on the changes to Gatorade's new formula ... I've been curious about that ... Sounds like the plan I just started ... time to drop some FM and gain some LBS

  • for those of you who like protein that is non dairy, check out Sun Warrior, it is awesome!!! Don't worry peeps, Gatorade is low on the options list, pass it by, go with coconut water...and for all that still are avoiding those egg yolks,

    w w w.

    ravnskov.nu/

cholesterol. h t m ---- or just google cholesterol myths, and yes, I get it if you are trying to avoid the calories of the fat, perhaps a shake is better than the eggs then....

anyway, Todd is a Master of his Craft! and from the heart

  • Great vid post! What do you recommend for someone on 85/15 Paleo diet? Also, is 1 gram protein per 1lb of body weight still apply to females? Thx!

  • Good Information, what do you recommend as far as supplements?

  • Yes, egg whites are great!!! Yolks are fine but I'm talking about getting SERIOUS!!!

Oatmeal is a great form of energy sustaining carbohydrates. And yes, plastic containers will not kill you. I really don't believe that they are going to dilipidate testosterone and growth hormone. And yes, I advocate about 1g protein per pound of bodyweight for the active, fitness enthusiast.

Time to "Get Serious" about your health. Small changes each day. Rome wasn't built in a day!

  • @ToddDurkinFQ10 Awesome, I'm Extremely grateful for you to take the time and respond! :-) Thanks for the info.

  • @ToddDurkinFQ10 any form of carbohydrate is energy sustaining. lmao. carbs=blood glucose.

  • @mariobrochill Carbs = energy? Yes. Sustaining (longer amounts of time)?? You tell me. Glycemic index? Insulin? Rate of digestion? How much glucose spikes vs. drop?

  • Egg whites??? thought eating the yolk was important too

Oatmeal? Thought grains was not good and not paleo

Plastic containers? thought that triggered estrogen effects...kinda counter productive if you're trying build testosterone and get stronger

Advocating 1 gram of protein per body weight?? heard that is a myth and not a good measurement to use

Heard Casein was highly carcinogenic and anyone with a dairy allergy(roughly 60% of adults) has to avoid it...

    So confusing :-/

  • @iMhike Classic example of paralysis by analysis. Lift, sprint, sleep, and eat. Simplify.

  • @iMhike Your statements are partially correct. You have an idea in the right direction, but your statements are only so true....example being dairy allergen.... it's actually about 90% of the Adults in the world....but anyways. Good rebuttal.

  • @iMhike he has oats not really oatmeal because it has no sugar and egg whites have no fat whatsoever and still all the protein.

  • @123hi465herropre Uhhhh...oatmeal IS oats....just cooked...

  • @chrissmith338 old fashioned oats has no sugar complex carbs too go ahead and look at the nutrition facts.

  • @123hi465herropre Huh? Did I say oats have sugar? They are almost entirely complex carbs...and oatmeal is simply cooked oats, doesn't have anything to do with sugar content.

  • @iMhike

Eating yolks are important, but 1 cup of egg whites = approx 8 egg whites. You wouldn't want to be eating 8 egg yolks as the cholesterol is way to high. 1 or 2 egg yolks mixed in is fine, however.

Oatmeal = one of the healthiest, cheapest and best sources of complex carbs and soluble fibre (Beta-glucan is awesome!)...don't let ANYBODY tell you otherwise.

Plastic containers - there is some evidence that SOME plastics can leach chemicals into our food/drink, but just minimize it

  • @iMhike

....to continue...get BPA-free plastics nd use stainless steel/glass whenever possible but don't freak out about it.

1 g of protein per lb is a little overkill, but it won't hurt you so long as you are hydrated. Most people get more than enough protein.

Casein is definitely not carcinogenic!!! 80% of milk protein is casein....you think mother's milk is carcinogenic? This is a slow-digesting protein that is great, but try to get it from whole dairy sources.

    Sources: MSc in Nutrition

  • @iMhike This is obviously for people that have no allergy or intolerances, but I agree the yolk is important too, but only with organic eggs. 1 gram per pound of bodyweight is based around what your workout / routine is. I wouldn't touch the stuff he recommends protein wise anyways, full of artificial crap (apart from their natural range)

  • @iMhike casein and anyone with a daily allergy? Any sort of protein powder is primarily a daily derivative..... Le Sigh

  • @iMhike yes egg yolks important but eating 5 whites and 1 yolk is better then eating 5 eggs with all the yolks, saves calories and cholesterol ;)

  • Great information, Todd! The "show and tell" is an effective way of getting your point across.

  • love the videos Todd!! i had a question. i used to be hungry all the time, and got some good nutrition in each day. however the last few months i havent been hungry at all and now i'm losing muscle mass. how can i spark an apatite? more shakes? changing up workouts? more cardio? each day is a chance to get nutrients into your body, but im just not hungry much these days.

  • @microphonecheck1

I had the same problem with the P90X program. I was consuming the ISOPURE protein due to it being lactose free option. However, I was drinking No Carbs which was causing the issue. I switched to the low carb version and I'm fine now, no more muscle loss.

  • @JohnBlazeNY i have been eating pretty low-carb recently. you think more carbs will keep muscle mass on easier?

  • @microphonecheck1 For me it did and it depends on the time of day you intake your carbs.. It helped me eating my carbs in the AM and some low carb protien post workout.

  • @microphonecheck1 sounds like fierst sighns of overtraining. Take two weeks off and see what happens.

  • Great content TD! I will be on the look out for the G-fit series. Thanks for sharing.
