@xBathypelagicx Really? Foster The People? I like them too but c'mon, you can't just compare the artistic complexity of TDH to that of another Indie Pop band.
This is probably the most underrated band I've ever listened to, they have a sound like I've never heard before, I wish the whole world listened to this. This is music.

every song i've encountered from this artist is truly so well arranged and appropriately original in tone. more than that, it's so impressive that he produced this album himself. seemingly talent that arose from nowhere. i'm gladly purchasing all his albums. rather impressive rawness.

Fairly simple, in my opinion: the big guys feed the lame ass music to the masses (ie, the sheep) and those of us who are intelligent enough to not buy into it must take a different path in finding excellent music. Luckily, those of us who have watched this video have found The Dear Hunter.
@Menegoth - The question was: "Why is this kind of music so hard to find and Justin Bieber/Lady Gaga so easy to find?" Your response: "If I had to venture a guess, it's because Justin Bieber and Lady GaGa have many, many more fans than The Dear Hunter?" That doesn't answer the question. Why do Justin Bieber and Lady GaGa (and anything else that's on MTV, Fuse, popular radio, etc) have more fans? See my response above. And to respond to getting over myself - I'm working on it.
@chipset49 The reason Gaga and Bieber have more fans is obviously because they're backed by a much bigger label and shitloads of PR managers. It has nothing to do with the complexity of the music nor the intelligence of the fans.
@Menegoth - They're backed by a much bigger label for a reason - because the masses will follow what they're fed. Hence, there are major labels to do the feeding. The mindless fans have to be there for there to be "shitloads of PR managers". The Dear Hunter (for sake of example) can't be fed to the masses because the music is too complex for them to understand - and this is MY opinion.
@chipset49 Well, you're wrong. You're just being a typical pretentious douche who thinks he's so unique and so much better than "the masses" simply because he listen to something other than pop music. You're not a precious little snowflake.
The drop is NOTHING compared to Skrillex's. Hardly any bass!!

Just saw them play at the Beacham Theatre a few hrs ago... and tonight is the first time I've heard them play this song live. Beautiful.

@xBathypelagicx Still. They only have like one song or something and even that's hardly great.

Sometimes the true sound of the band is in their most subtle songs. This is easily one of their best songs, and it makes me moved beyond words.
