Serbia was always a friend to the Czechs. In the 20th century they came to our support both during Hitler's attack in 1938 and again during the Soviet's attack in 1968. The Czech govt has crawled into the ass of America and NATO but among the Czech people there is a great portion of the population who remember the friendship with the Serbs and refuse to consent to the actions of the govt concerning the recognition of independent Kosovo. I think that the historical interest of the UK is to support middle sized power which maintains stability in the Balkans.
