  • now that's control of his instrument

    respect

  • hey everyone, he hit a Eb which is a whole step high than his official guiness world record!!! this guy is incredible!!!!

  • wow............

  • Actualy his range goes beyond 8 octaves, but unfortunately not any human ear can hear it as he produces ultrasounds

  • 0_______o WUT OMG He's super sonic, he needs to b a super hero or something lol

  • 1:23 XD

  • OMG this man is a dolphin!

  • In technical terms an octave is an interwal in which the frequency of the sound is doubled. A guitar string would be 1/64 of its original length if a note was played on it 6 octaves up. Shows how incredibly this man can control his vocal cords.

  • @Lether52 how can I accomplish this?

  • I can´t belive it!!! great!

  • my ears popped!!! i was wearing earphones!!!!

  • Orgasm @ 1:24

  • @Hugonzalezzz AAAAAAaaahahahahahaha

  • Wow. This guy is channeling Yma Sumac.

  • He should be in Le Miz

  • Adam Lopez: the living dog whistle

  • @Lerpman1990

Actually, a common scale has 7 notes. Unless you get into the pentatonic scale. Which has five.

  • You are no tenor!!

  • @ZeonMagna why do u say that?

  • I am jealous. Damn.

  • INCREDIBLE!!

  • my monitor just cracked

  • Hi Adam! That was fantastic! I was at the Qld Con with you, don't know if you remember me. But this is a great achievement.

  • begins at 1:16

  • dogs hate this guy.

  • oh wow

  • i thought the E8 was cool, and I find it very rare that few men can actually reach that high of an octave.

  • im happy with my A2-Eb7

  • an octave is not 12 notes..... its 8 notes.

  • @TheSquelzy technically it's 12 half-steps.

  • @TheSquelzy an octave has 12 notes in it. a scale has 8 notes. like in the c scale you only play the notes c d e f g a b c . but there is still all the sharps and flats in between those notes

  • @lerpman1990 If it has 12 notes, why is it called an OCTave? And a scale, as such, can have any number of notes

  • @ian1856 Because when scales were modal it went from C-C D-D etc, and so there were 8 notes in each scale, ionian, dorian etc

  • @ian1856 semitone?

  • @TheSquelzy but 12 half notes

  • He actually breaks his own world record in this video!

  • I can do the EB2 EB3 EB4 EB7

  • an octave is 8 notes, hence the prefix oct.

  • i couldn't go any higher than Eb6..... Damn puberty. I gotta get my balls capo'ed while singing and playing the guitar.

  • @marcusduck how can you rech this note?

i can reach a G5 at a maximum at my lucky days, at my unlucky days f#5

  • I am really wondered and fascinated by your voice register especially the lowest notes and the highest notes with whistle register. Congratulations.

    From Mangomarca, Lima, PERU.

  • Why not explain it in terms on frequency? An octave is a doubling or halving of a frequency.

  • And this is not his world record, can you believe it??

  • and i was happy with my B2 ~ A#5 ¬¬'

  • in 7-8 octave - it's not a singing, it's whistling ;))

  • @madkris11 whistle register is singing =]

  • Starts at 1:15

    You're welcome.

  • W

    O

    W

  • I dont know what an Octave is........ :/

  • @RiskyOvenChips

    C, d, e, f, g, a, b, C

from C to C is an octave the same note but just higher (an octave higher)

  • @andrewstackj You're confusing the person. Just say 12 notes, an octave doesn't have to start on a c.

  • @RiskyOvenChips the distance between 12 notes on a piano is an octave. They're both the same note, just higher or lower.

  • @RiskyOvenChips Do re me fa so la te da is one octave.

  • 4.4 octaves, only 17.

    D2-G#6

  • He should get another record then, he did more than C#8 :O, Omg, go for the new record ^_^.

  • 1st time i realised a man can sing that high

  • Better than Brett Manning's demonstration any day. His one was a load of bull.

  • My chest voice range is Eb2-E4 or something like that. I'm not much of a singer :P

  • 4 octaves and climbing.

  • Geezus! I can do four, tops if I'm warmed up.

  • That last one sounds like a dog whistle :) rofl!!

  • 3 for me as well.

  • that girl is alota hotness

  • 1:16 interestin part...

  • OMG! 6 octaves!!!!! amazin!

  • Marc Lopez's brother??

  • I can hit those Mariah notes too... U got boy, it's rare for men to be able to whistle like that... WOW, impressive... He looks like he's the older brother of Mario Lopez... I bet he is....

  • this guy sounds like that ringtone you want real 6 octaves pull up nitro - machine gun eddie

  • 1:22 i thought my fire alarm went off

  • wowowowowoowowowowowowowowow

  • i can barely do 3 without head voice

also, are people counting correctly??? if your lowest note is d1 and you get to d4, that's 3 octaves, not 4...

  • I have 5 Octaves...Actually F1 to F6...XD.

  • 4 :P

  • i can do five octaves but the higher notes are like impossible for me

  • 3 octaves. for me :P

  • THIS CAN'T BE REAL

  • that's CRAZY! LOL.... amazing man.... so kool.... how do i work out my vocal range... i was testing it out with my dad's piano but i don't know which octave to start from...c4 or c3?? sorry i must sound really stupid lolll i don't know much about the music scale

  • @sheru7mera7naam007 You shouldn't start from a C, but from the lowest note you can reach.

  • Mine is over 4 octaves :))

  • chest range C2-F4, almost 2.5 octaves! lol, I don't count vocal fry or falsetto voice though, I guess if I did those it'd be A0-C/D5, about 4.5 octave, still nothing close to this lol

  • Eb8 sounds SO beautiful! *-*

I wish I could hit that note! haha

  • but can you sing in those keys! but very impressive

  • wowowowowowowwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Rob Halford from Judas Priest used to have a 6 Octave Range, but because of his age it's now a 4 Octave Range.

  • I max out at 4 octaves, which seems to impress most people I know, but this is another level!

  • @gooozz 4 octaves? what's ur range? :)

  • @gooozz omg I'm not alone! I have a four-octave range also!

  • I can only do 3 and a bit octaves lol

  • I can only do 2 octaves, he;s amazing!

  • @chinajazzytown haha i have no idea how many octaves i can do, but its probably 2 or maybe less cuz i have a VERY small range :(

  • him and mariah carey... dolphin people

  • He's amazing!! I can only do 5 Octaves.

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE1 only? that's a lot. haha. I can do three, and even that is considered a lot.

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE1

    Yeah right!

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE1 cool story bro...

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE1 sure, more than freddy mercury?

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE1 yea right

  • he sounds like a singing mouse!!!! :)

  • More notes than a dam piano amazing.

  • I can BARELY hit the Eb2, and I can hit the Eb6. That's four octaves. The Eb2 is very hard to hit. The Eb6 is not so much hard. =)

  • Can he go lower?

  • Well can he hit the notes in between

  • he sounded like a bird lol

  • no effin way. Rob Halford (Judas Priest vocalist) had, back in his prime, a 6 octave range. nothing like this at all. Tim "Ripper" Owens, (WAS a vocalist in Judas Priest) still has a 6 octave range. nothing like this at all.

  • Geez... I got some work to do before getting the world record.

  • DONT WEAR HEADPHONES! That HURT!!!

  • hi? adam can you teach me,how can i hit that high notes heheheh..........

  • yo conte 7 octavas

  • @PuaSkate Se cuenta el recorrido, es decir la primera nota cuenta como 0 octava, la segunda nota sería la primera octava a partir de la 1ra nota.

  • I have a 4 octave vocal range. I thik he comes form another world xDD

  • OMG

  • AAAAHHH!! >__< *coughs blood* x_x

  • i think it's impressive he can hit a high note i like that for a guy.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW. The best that I can manage on my best of days is an Eb7 (although I'm a low-range baritone, so I guess it isn't so unexpected).

  • @Wagnerlover777 yeah right u are full of shit and u know

  • insane xD

when u r a little kid, u can do most of these, but then u lose them. It's amazing that he can do this

  • i have a 4 note vocal range, lol

  • @8000cheese 4's REALLY good!

  • @8000cheese awesome!

  • @8000cheese

5 here and i can sing the highest d sharp on a piano

  • @8000cheese do you need to have a special voice to sing

  • @LG141602 no everyone naturally sings better in a higher or lower register but with training I believe anyone can sing. As long as your not tone deaf but then again you can train yourself in that too

  • @MasterJ12thMan I used to believe the same thing about tone deaf people. The I tried a LOT with a tone deaf friend of mine to help her sing, but there was no way. She couldn't even begin to realize the difference between the note I was singing or playing on my guitar than the one she was singing. Seriously, not even close, nothing, zero..! Since then I've stopped believing that all people can sing! :P

  • @8000cheese samee!!!

  • @8000cheese hahah so funny!

the 'thumb up' button is not appearing but I'd gave thumb up ur comment! XD

  • I envy him a little =P

  • @andrelemi me too, lol

  • but can he sing?

  • Wow I only have like a two octive range, maybe a little over.... this guy is freakin awesome

  • that last one kind of hurt to listen to o.0

  • Sera que é verdade????

  • i can do 5 octives

  • This man, can speak to dolphins !!!!

  • incrível!

  • this is awesome.

  • that's really incredible

  • 0,2 frames per second!!!!

  • @sarokas12 i think its because of copyright

  • OH NO ... MY VOICE ONLY GOT 4 OCTAVE VOCAL RANGE.. EB2,3,4,5 ONLY but its ok :))

  • Wtf... Did he swallow a whistle?

  • That's a dog whistle ! xD

  • He recently beat his own WORLD record with C#8

  • i could use this guy to tune my guitar

  • @guitarlord247 Hahah

  • @guitarlord247 LOL....

  • Adam Lopez looks like Mario Lopez sorta XDD

  • Just a quick guess, I think there's about an octave and a half below that, and about half an octave above it. I question the amount of control he'd have in that upper range stuff. Singing the octave off the last note is cake. Melody though... Idk

  • @Rickles You make a worthwhile point. The definition of vocal range is distinguished between two areas: First, actual ability to generate a pitch through using the vocal chords. The musical academics prefer to rely on measuring the artists ability to generate what is known as "Useful Pitch" for musical purposes. So Adam Lopez actual *Tessitura* is likely to be between D3 (ish) to a cozy B5, with is remarkable, that is, without leaving the modal voice.

  • @IntrapersonalKent Yeah he goes from Tenor to Countertenor range in his singable notes.

  • @IntrapersonalKent Correct. He has the tenor tessitura.

  • if his vacal range is eb2 to eb8 than are there six octave's.2+6=8????

  • sounds like a whistle lol

  • @jovialduke That's why it's called the whistle register

  • he should sing the same song an octave higher each time for about seven times

  • Where are the 2 missing octaves in his range? above or below those 6?

  • @StormBringer44 I suppose you are referring that he started on the Eb2 and went up to Eb8, and the "missing" octaves would be Eb1 and Eb2. That is extremely low notes, doubt a tenor could reach that low.

  • Jesus eff Christ.

    That guy is amazing

  • ohmygoddddddddd

  • 54 dolphins heard this, then dis-i-liked it

  • He just unofficially broke his old record of C#8 to a Eb8. Astonishing!

  • weredolphin

  • Ok, that was scary good.

  • That's pretty freaking amazing! O.O

  • Maybe he uses "Vocal Fry" to achieve the 1st Octaves. his Eb2 sounds non vocal fry, so that's real.

  • LAZERBEAM!

  • can you please sing time will reveal by el debarge...thanks man your great....

  • yup 7 octaves. God Dang lol

  • the slideshow was fun, and the voice.... wow

  • that was 7 octaves actually

  • @tikibird1970

No, it was the same note in 7 different octaves, giving 6 octaves.

  • @tikibird1970 there were 7 Eb's yes, but 6 octaves

  • @tikibird1970 no, 6

  • @tikibird1970 no, the first note doesn't count.

  • IS IT TRUE THAT ADAM LOPEZ, WORKED WITH MARIAH CAREY AS BACK UP VOCALS BEFORE?

  • @pritykazy no

  • Jeez that's crazy! And I thought a G5 was high...

  • @HoodedSword And it is! but this is HIGHER :]

  • Hi Adam. I was wondering what your CHEST VOICE range is.

    Thanks Nicholas :)

  • That's fantastic. I haven't heard a note like that since I left my audiologist's office.

  • You are most definitely my new idol :D other than Amy Lee.

I admire you for your range and ability to hit those amazing notes, and I admire her for her strength and emotion. You are absolutely fantastic! :)

  • jesus, : / my highest note has been F#3 : / my lowest has been Bb1

  • Hey adam what's the lowest note you can hit? Just curious.

Could you possibly show a quick demo of some sort, I'm really impressed by the high whistle range, but also know you can hit some bass notes so am curios to what your lowest note is. So what's the lowest note you've ever hit?

  • @cgtrademark

he said it was a B0.
