Nope. You can get 9 shitty cars off of craigslist or something... And you can turn a real car into RC, you just add in servos to control the steering, gas, brake, and shifting.
i heard they discontinued the monster trucks which is dumb cause i have one, but i lost all the wheels and bolts, and the drive gear. and damn it was cool when u took azip zap car top and put it on a monster truck: monster Audi coupe or mercedes!! lol
