I used to have 3 oscars in a large tank but the last one died recently (old age).

I constantly would feed the yabbies like this lol. They yabbies sometimes would survive for months.. cause of the hiding places.

The oscars were usually patient in their approach, and they would wait until they got a chance to attack the yabby from behind.

defensorfortis2009, that's not true. It's actually reccomended my EXPERTS to do a 25-30% water change every week to every two weeks. You can even do small water changes every day if you want. Take it from someone that cares about other creatures. Fish are not play toys they are living creatures. Take that from someone who has experience with them.

Sadly this week we have been having a heat wave here in Perth and the temperature in my tank had soared to 35degrees C. and no matter how many ice bricks I put in there it just wouldnt come down :( As a result Freddy (the Yabby) didnt survivie.
