I don't think Fedor is afraid of anyone. Too many fighters depend on their physical ability alone to win a fight. Fedor has more of a mental understanding of how to win a fight. I see a lot of fighters who pump themselves up before a fight and then they have all this adrenaline at the bell but what they don't think about is adrenaline cuts your ability to think straight by about 20%. Fedor will make you think one thing a whole fight and then turn around surprise you and the fight is over.

She is a very good english-> russian interpreter, although a bit less efficient when it comes to russian -> english. That's just the way it is - you're better when you interpret into your mother tongue, even when you know the source language very well. This is one of the reasons why interpreters work in pairs - they speak to recepients in their mother tongues.

You're wrong mma850. As a matter of fact , When Arlovski left the ufc (at the time) he was on a winning streak. He defeated Cruz & Werdum , THEN left the ufc. (in other words , NOT because ofa loss) then continued his winning streak by defeating O'brien , Rothwell , Nelson , In other words a total of 5 opponents , then he fought against Fedor and lost. Keep in mind he was actually ranked # 2 HW at the time. And trained by Freddy Roach no less. You have a point on Sylvia though.

Brett Rogers does have a heavy punch and looks very strong but that is not gonna help him match or exceed Fedor's experience and much superioir technique. I love Fedor. He's such a class act and is by all accounts a wonderful human being. If you watch closely at 2:04, you can see him barely crack a smile when the interpreter translates the part about him ducking UFC fighters. He could have gave a harsh response like alot of fighters would but he didn't. No trash talking, always humble, always soft spoken, always a class act. I don't think we can assess how all the post-Affliction/Fedor saga will lie until after the CBS fight. Things will be way up in the air if he loses or puts on a poor show. If he wins convincingly and with fireworks and Strikeforce market him as the mysterious Russian then it might capture some people's immagination. They'll always be questions about whether Fedor could stand up to Lesnar/UFC opposition. When Pride was at its peak no one imagined Fedor headling free on US network television.

i believe you are wrong on that one. from what i have read the only reason fedor is not in the ufc is because he is under contract with M-1 global and M-1 insisted on co-promoting events witht he UFC. dana white refused this so M-1 said no. as for forbidding him to compete in sambo tournaments i believe dana actually caved on that in the most recent deal he tried to make.
