That water really was extremely cold! That's because these volcanic lakes we have around here are usually very depp. I don't know about the Meerfelder Maar, but another one, the Pulver Maar, is 90 meters deep.
It's very nice to go and have a swim in them, but only after it's been warm and the sun has been shining on the water for a while, so that it's not all THAT cold. *shivering* ;0)

Idk how cold it was... I think it wasn't THAT cold, my friend was like "OMGIT'SSOCOLD!" I guess... about... 15°C?
