I was working in Saudi as an old sitter, the family is very good, what I need they provide, from clothes to food and no restriction, wake up at 7am and sleep at 7 if no visitor, if there is I sleep at 8pm, the old woman don't want any guest after 8 pm. and I have rest in afternoon and I can sleep from 1 pm upto 3 pm. and salary is monthy given. I can say I was lucky and happy to that family,

Yes they give food to the poor but they also waste a lot of food. They are consumers not producers...they can be very generous but so can we - we share all our technology, food production AND give money to many countries.

I have many Saudi friends & I have been given the opportunity to looked into a world I otherwise would have never thought could exist- unless you were reading a horror novel. I was working in Saudi as an old sitter, the family is very good, what I need they provide, from clothes to food and no restriction, wake up at 7am and sleep at 7 if no visitor, if there is I sleep at 8pm, the old woman don't want any guest after 8 pm. and I have rest in afternoon and I can sleep from 1 pm upto 3 pm. and salary is monthy given. I can say I was lucky and happy to that family,

This isn't "Slavery in Saudi Arabia", this is Domestic abuse towards workers. Period, this happens in Singapore, China, and many other countries where labor women go to for work. My former Indonesian housemaid was forced to only wear the clothes the family gave her (Skirt) and to take off her Hijab, they also threw her Quran and praying rug away and didn't allow her to have breaks to pray.

Yes they give food to the poor but they also waste a lot of food. People criticise Saudi Arabia without even having visited the country they criticise. I agree that Saudi Arabia is NOT perfect, but which country is?
However, Saudi Arabia is a safe country with a stable economy. It has vast wealth, much of which it donates as charity to poorer nations. It has developed economically at an astounding rate over the last 30 years.
In Saudi Arabia, I have seen people leave their shops UNattended at prayer time. Which country in the world can you do that?

@TM15C Stop lying that SA gives much of the wealth to poorer nations. The vast majority of Muslim countries are poor and without oil money, the whole of Arabia would join them. Here is no real economy in that area based on innovation. Within 50 years from now, when the world is less dependent on oil, that area will be a footnote in history.

@TM15C Saudi Arabia is center of islam which is profoundly against peace and freedom. islam hates non-muslims. I have been to SA and I know this first hand. Saudis funds charities and terrorism including and especially 9/11 terror attack. Be honest and seek change. The world wants a friendly islam.

@garybsg- The Saudi government and Saudi Islamic scholars have condemned terrorism for many years. They have always been against Al-Qaeda.
In fact, terrosist groups like Al-Qaeda have killed more Muslims than non-Muslims. Saudi Arabia is a victim of terrorism and NOT a supporter.
The religious establishment is Saudi Arabia follows a Salafist approach, which condemns terrrorism.
Al-Qaeda follow a Kharijite approach which endorses terrorism.
THERE IS A CLEAR DIFFERENCE.

@garybsg-Note that Al-Qaeda and its allies want to overthow the Muslim government of Saudi Arabia and have engaged in a terrorist campaign against the government for many years now.
Also note, that the Saudi government has acted upon Islam when retaliating militarily AGAINST these terrorist groups.
As with all societies in the world, it is a small minority of extremists who give the wider commnunity a bad name.

@garybsg - Don't get me wrong old boy, terrorist groups and ruthless dictators are enemies to us all. We need to deal with them.
But, sometimes the methods used to deal with bad guys (terrorists & dictators) often results in large scale civilian casualties - That's where the problem lies.
Look, we all want good rulers, who adhere to law and care for their people and we all want to live in peace.
The point I'm trying to make is that the US and its Jewish allies have brought only destruction.

What little wealth they have comes from the ground not their intellect. - Islam is AGAINST terrorism.
- Muslims are AGAINST terrorism.
- Nothing justifies terrorism.
- Muslim governments (eg. Saudi Arabia) have been involved in their own fight AGAINST terrorist groups for the last decade.
- Terrorists have killed MORE Muslims than non-Muslims.
- Muslims want peace and want to improve their lives.

@TM15C Sadly, I draw my conclusions about islam from muslims behavior all over the world, not from headlines. islam has to come to terms with the hatred of anything non-muslim. The struggle for islam to be peaceful and coexist with others is up to muslims. We agree on one thing: muslims have suffered the vast amount of pain, tears, death, submission, poverty and wasted human potential.
