  • Has anyone released an english patch for this game?

  • Dat refresh rate.

  • Am I the only one who hears "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest at 0:13?

  • @LuwiigiMaster OMG LOL XDDD

  • Mowtendoo

  • haha this looks sick as, I'll give this a whizz on my ps3 gameboy emu.

  • only japanese people and some homebrew creators decide to push out the limit out of a 4.19 mhz processor.

  • I think it's kinda funny the gb had a faster cpu than the snes did.

  • @nooblet911

You can't say higher mhz is faster, snes had a shitload of special features in their cpu and some of their games contained special gpu which made the thing do epic beautiful stuff.

Also the gameboy did most of the work with the cpu.

  • well yea, snes' cpu is technically slower, but 16-bit and the snes has great gpus (two of them) and some games had extra co-processors in them, like you said.

  • What? We're not allowed to be nostalgic about gaming systems we grew up with? Just cause all you hating noobus's out there grew up on x-crack? It's sad you can't appreciate the past advances of gaming technology that were the very precursors of the games you play now. This is an awesome example of a platform getting pushed to it's limitations. Thanks to Applepieman for sharing this!

  • they actually had a prototype of x for the snes. i tried a copy of it i downloaded from some place i've forgotten and its pretty good

  • Lol, I guess this was the original X-scape. They made it into a DSiware downloadable game, and they did a pretty good job with the graphics!

  • looks better than most wii games

  • music is epic

  • I bought the DsiWare sequel: X-Scape. Three words. Best. Purchase. Ever.

  • @thetuckman1

Exactly. If X-Scape were released at full price in a shop, I wouldn't complain one bit. But $8? Awesome.

  • Why wasn't this released in America? Looks complicated, but it definitely would've sold.

  • @YellowYoshi398 No, it wasn't. It was Japan only.

  • This is overwhelming for the gameboy

  • This is the sort of thing I can see myself spending hours playing.

  • @lemurboy12

    Same developers? 1992? Predecessor much?

  • Love the lines that define the tight cosy tunnels. Would love to play more games like this in the classic colour style.

  • whats stage is this i want to hear this beat

  • Wonder if they'll ever remake this on DS and worldwide........it would be nice.

  • @ChaozWii

They are "remaking" it for DSiWare, under the name "X-Scape".

  • @sfried It's out May 31st!!

  • @sfried It's a sequel.

  • cool

  • Wow thats pretty advanced looking for such an old gameboy game

  • what the hell?!

  • This was infact the game developed by the guys who went on to work on the super fx chip and the subsequent Starfox / Starwing game for SNES. The similarities are very apparent don't you think?

  • it does remind me of starfox.

  • @gpaluk HA I knew it!

  • So this is what X is... That explains a lot...

  • How good are the controls for this game?

  • so this explains why this song is in the star fox stage in brawl.lol

  • Wrong. This is the other Tunnel Scene song. Watch the Mission 1 video I uploaded and you'll hear it. I also uploaded the whole song.

  • cool

  • cool an old 3d game

  • lol "paper map"

  • That looks boring, but the music is good.

  • wow remix is way more awesome

  • Oh yes. And I can understand purism: the remix is just SO much better here. Check out any of the "SSBB" Related Videos on the right side.

  • This is not the original version of the remix. Watch other videos related to this game.

  • i realized that later :(

  • why are both of your comments marked -3 ???

  • People think that I'm lying. I'm not. I uploaded some videos related to this Game Boy game. One where Totaka's Song is located, one where the X - Tunnel Scene song from SSBB originated from (which I also uploaded the whole song separately) and several Mission videos.

  • The Wikipedia article about this Game Boy title has been updated with a lot more info other than its history and music!

  • Conviently after Super Smash Bros. Dojo decided to include the music.

  • Well most of the English Wikipedia article was translated from the Japanese Wikipedia article about the same Game Boy title. I made a translation request for it several days before the Super Smash Bros. DOJO revealed the arranged Tunnel Scene music from X. I'm also working on several other Wikipedia articles about other Japan-only Nintendo titles and lesser-known Nintendo titles.

  • where'd you find the game?

  • Can't tell you that, but hint to you. Google "Download Gameboy Roms"

  • 4 some reason. that looks like fun!

  • Awesome music

  • get a life.

  • get off youtube
