She's a very smart instructor! This is definitely salsa. I'm guessing as a fellow salsa instructor, that she was using this music because it has a slower rhythm. It is much easier to learn moves to a slower tempo, especially when practicing from a video. It may not be what most of you consider salsa music, but what she's dancing, and the counts she is using is absolutely salsa.
I enjoyed this - appreciate the arts and let's all be thankful that the girl is not sitting/standing like so many ppl because they were constantly humilated for years by so many critics - thanks for the performance
