  • @BritainsRailways Reguardless of it being a build from Microsoft's Partner.Net, it is definitely a beta for Sonic 4 that is almost the same exact one on Partner.Net. No need to call him an idiot. Also, no, it's not the stock Wii version; tell me act 2 of Casino Street and Lost Labarynth look like that, I dare you to (NOT on the iOS version mind you).

  • Well, we can clearly see why Act 2 of Lost Labyrinth wasn't in the final version -- it would've been terribly frustrating to use the WIi remote to get through that level. It's clearly better suited for the iPhone/iPod touch.

  • act 2 of casino street shows that sega doesnt need a gimmick for every act 2. Wats the point?

  • Seriously though, it doesn't seem like ALL THAT MUCH got changed other than the option to use non-motion controls for motion/special stage parts, and I think that the final version is great, so I still would have bought this too.

    I don't understand why everyone got so butthurt over this game -- if you accept it on its own gameplay terms and merits that are similar enough to all but the picky, it's *fun*! That's the point, right? To have fun, not to be the Genesis Sonic engine accuracy police?

  • At first, I wasn't sure what the big deal was about Casino Street 2, and for about the first 30 seconds, the level and the music seemed totally okay.

    Then I realized that that's the entire level and the entire song D:

  • I can also note that the rings in here are more golden, while in the final Wii version, they look sorta duller.

  • I Have This Version too. It's Very, VERY inferior to the final build. the second act of casino street its just awfull and ridiculous. the second act of lost labyrinth, I kinda like it, but the controls are the worst (still love the final build act more).

  • I was amused that you let it end with "Try Again". It's rather fitting.

  • The Speed Up on the music (When you get a Speed Up monitor) doesn't seem to reset the music to speed up and does so at whatever point the music is at, unlike the final version. Why would they change it for the worse like that? This is the only thing I can see that was better before they changed it.

  • Sorry, this only seemed to happen in SHZ2. In SHZ3 it does the same as the final. My bad.

  • Wow I had no idea there was a hidden path in CSZ Act 3. Also good thing they fixed that ending part, that was just unnecessarily mean D:

    Exactly.

    The worst part is actually how the mine cart controls in midair. Even if it's at a 105-degree angle relative to the screen, you still have to tilt in that direction to move, meaning your momentum will most likely be killed because you're at a too steep angle when you land.
