This isn't hacking, it's a commonly known piece of information and is programmed into lifts(elevators). It is used by the police to get to the floors they need to get to.

i was at a hotel on vacation with my parents and we were in a rush so i did the trick and well i suggest not to try this because in some cases you might screw the elevator up or bust it for good . i know this because i tried this trick at a hotel with 25 floors and i broke then later busted the elevator and we were stuck in the elevator for 5 min. and almost everyone got really pissed of . DO NOT TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY SURE IT WILL WORK I DID THIS WITH A BRAND NEW AND OLD ELEVATOR

Mike must of really been on the 23rd floor. There was no up button. Holding both buttons prevents anyone else from boarding. I have a 9mm Baretta which also prevents anyone from boarding. So, to summarize...Push both buttons or carry a gun. Both work.

remember this, Most places "Close door" Buttons dont actually work. they were deactived long ago but they dont bother getting a whole new system box just for one stupid button. They keep them for placebo effect. and if the Close button has been deactived the Trick wouldn't work. so its a chance thing.

I would never hack an elevator, when I was a kid the elevator at my hhospital froze, I was worried and almost got killed, I pried the doors open (this was in the 80's), and I stuck my head thorough, it unlcoked and my uncle pulled me down and I hit my head on the bar in the back.
