They used a control method coined in 2004-2005 for a next-gen title. You can't make resident evil an action game, then refuse to allow the player movement and shooting at the same time. It is nothing more than cheap design.

You know, I really don't have much to say on this game. This was the first Resident Evil game I played and if they say the previous games were awesome in their time, then they must be epic because I really enjoyed this game. I did find the real time inventory selection to be the biggest problem. But I'm not gonna act like a 3/5 is bad. That basically means it was almost almost perfect, and it's pretty understandable.

@hound4680 In Dead Space, you could move while you shoot, but when you play, you wouldn't noctice that you are not probably not moving when you are aiming soo you can have better accuracy, hell, in any shooting game you probaly stand still when you fireo you can aim better. So what thier saying is basically pointless.

This game is good if not looked at as a resident evil game. Sort of like godfather 2 is ok if not looked at as the godfather. Everything that made resident evil resident evil, will not be found in this game, which is why it has low scores.

@Dumebi2 First of all, it was in a fictional country with UNINHABITABLE conditions, so it doesn't stereotype Africans in general. Second, the same exact thing could be said for RE4 about Spanish people, yet nobody complained.

What does this tell me? It tells me that the people who criticize its inclusion of African zombies are racist, themselves, because they only reason that they are complaining is because the zombies have dark, instead of white, skin.

I tend to state that the game isn't racist, Capcom just phoned in the research, and i agree with you that it's hypocritical to call RE5 racist when RE4 got off controversy free as you gunned down Spanish peasants.

Yeah...in a way it doesn't stick with the original storyline...the problem isn't the T-Virus but an upgraded version of the Las Plagas...personally I really miss the T-Virus/G-Virus/T-Veronica Virus storylines, at least the monsters were ACTUALLY zombies. And not to mention Chris looks like he is on steroids.

ok first of all yes the game does have minor flaws but there is no racism involved what so ever, your in africa what do you expect... asian's. you guys didnt mention the fact that the graphics were improved to the next level, both resident evil 4, and 5 are both the same except this time instead of being in america, your in africa, i would give this game a 4.5 out of 5, the .5 being the improved graphics and more epic scenes.

The enemies don't help much either as 99% of them are still nothing, but Las Plagas-based. (Type 2 and 3 which only offer some relatively minor differences from the original in RE4.) Even some enemies are just recycled from RE4 with minor changes like Del Lago, El Gigante, and such. This all fits in with the comment about not evolving with the times.

And it doesn't help that you learn next to nothing about Uroboros, which is supposed to be the MAIN problem.
