you should put this into zbrush,

it's great for fine details. and it's easy to use

I normal flesh out a mesh in max then do the cool details and texturing in zbrush then bring it back into max again for animating.

That's pure bull, there are no such thing as Queen Mothers, the expanded universe stories make no sense whatsoever and the creators of the Alien franchise didn't make Queen Mothers so therefore they do not exist. There is only one Queen per hive and she has drones and warriors below her.

The creator of the Alien franchise is H.R Giger, he created all of the aliens including the facehugger, chestburster and runner alien. He didn't include a Queen Mother and the expanded universe stories are not canon to the Alien series

he did not create or design the Runner alien. they asked him for his help but they used their own design instead of Gigers. Giger did not create the Queen ether, James Cameron and Stan Winston did.

so i take it that the Queen or the Runner Alien arent a part of the Alien franchise.

Look, H.R Giger did the very first drawing that lead to the creation of the Xenomorph and then the Queen and Runner aliens were added on by the directors of Aliens and Alien3.

And it also led to the Expanded universe creations, The directors kept changing what the Aliens looked like most movies too adding fingers/changing coulers etc. The expanded universe stories explained allot about the Aliens that the films didnt and didnt change anything about the Aliens all it did was add a few more in to make it a bit more interesting (like the directors did in Alien 2/3/4)

it depends, it took me several months to half-a-year to finish the model, then posing the model into the movie took a couple hours, then the rendering took several minutes. none of my models were bought, i made them all by myself... so yeah, it was hard to do.
