I'm getting a digipro wp4030 tomorrow I hope its a good choice I bought it from ebay for 25 dollars heh the economy is bad and I'm strapped for cash I'm just a college student trying to make his art shine
@gabrielborda I started out using the Intuos2, and now I use the Cintiq 21UX. It actually doesn't matter much, as long as you make sure it has pressure sensitivity ( I think the Bamboo Fun is pressure sensitive). You need the pressure to get the thick-and-thin line. You don't need a big tablet, because most people actually only use a small part of the tablet whether they know it or not. Just make sure to have fun!
I'm new to illustrator and wish there were some VERY VERY Beginner tutorials. I'm trying to do yours, but I don't understand, when I use the brush tool and I draw, I get a blue line not a black line. I get a pen like tool where I Can change the points and move them, so I can't just continue drawing if I let up because it will change or erase the last line I drew unless I make a dot on my paper somewhere else to get rid of the blue pen line part. Do you know how to stop this?
Thanks for putting these videos on here and your blog Sherm! They're really helpful and interesting! They'll probably save me a lot of time I would otherwise spend on Adobe Illustrator trying to figure out how to do stuff. Now, all that's left is to try it myself!

Egocentress, Bowen12 & mennaish - when you open the bursh options panel (tap the brush icon twice), you need to untick the "keep selected" option.

How do you set the pen to read pressure sensitivity in illustrator? I know how it's done in photoshop and I've been trying to figure it out for AI.

2. then click on the brushes and then click in the bottom left corner (where is different type of brushes..)
3. click in WACOM 6D BRUSHES (i dont know if every illustrator has it) those brushes are pressure sensitive....

"Does not have an easy to use eraser."
You sounded really sad at that fact. I just find it funny to that you ended on that. :D
