David Phelps completely amazes me every time I hear him sing. His technique is flawless and is 'top notch'. The other thing that most/some singers do not do well is sing different styles well--he however can change mid-stream in the same song. Throughout this video, he sings very traditional, strict-style, but when he sings certain notes, he taps into the Opera side of his education; such as at 4:02. Wow!

I know how Terriergal could think it sounded like Marilyn. I myself almost stopped the song in the first 20 seconds, because the way he started was this airy falsetto thing that was very much like Marilyn.

Luckily I kept the song playing, and I can tell you that the guy can definitely sing and there's no comparison to Marily Monroe at all.
