You could always foster kittens. That way you could always have a kitten(they have a tendency to turn into cats) and your husband has no complaints because you are a foster mom. Say hi for me, just don't tell him where I live as he drowns in a sea of kittens.

I guess u'd better personally go after the pet carrier companies that make it possible 2 lock up "sooo cute" critters 2 transport them in comfort & keep them safe from other "un-cruelly-not-"lokked"-up" critters & situations. Have you ever tried 2 wrangle & feed multiple, hungry, tiny, naieve kits that need a special diet? NO u probably haven't. -Grow up. Even PETA would use pet carriers to rescue, transport and temporarily house (lock up) critters.
Adorable. You are admirable for caring so vigilantly for helpless kittens. When I can find a job well paying enough I plan on fostering strays until they can be adopted out and such. It pains me that there are so many out there, and that people are still careless enough to not spay or neuter their pet if they know they can't handle the kittens. You've gotta do what you've gotta do. Pet store is 25 miles away, Kitten formula is about 6 dollars and only lasts one kitten about a day and a half. Grocery store is down the street, you can get a case of meat-based baby food for a pretty reasonable price to last a few kittens long enough to grow. Crushed dry kitten food mixed into a kind of gravy can work too, but it's a bugger of a time consumer to get it done in the quantities needed. Prayers with you, kittysingle! Too much cuteness 2 lose.

Just keep in mind without a kitten volunteer rescue group working with an animal care facility, just about all the new born/under 2 lb kittens will be killed.
That being said, I do agree not have smell to go with your audio/video is a good thing.
okay all i said was that ur going to give those cats the runs giving them human food. my mom works at a vetenaren and we have 8 cats and dogs, so trust me I know..
When you raise 300+ under-weight kittens a year for several years, then maybe, I'll trust you.
When I started working with the kitten crowd I had issues with baby food too. It's not ideal, but if that is all the kitten will eat until you can get its weight up that's what you do. These aren't adult cats. A lot of these kittens aren't going to make it, that is understood.
There is always room for more volunteers and I encourage you to do so.

Is it me, or does the calico kitten's eyes look a bit odd? Very very cute of course, but they look farther apart than what you normally see...I'm sure it's not to worry....when our cat Henry was a baby he had a face that reminded you of ET. He grew into his features though...now he looks like an adult version of ET!

Their actually is such thing as a male calico. The majority of calicos are indeed female but yes there are male ones.

Male Calico's do exist, I was a volunteer for a couple of years before I saw one. I thought Calico's are all female too.
But you are correct, I am the chosen one. Nothing to do with cats, however.

I don't foster kittens, or have rescue animals. I'm just a shooter.
Kittens really aren't my thing, but I came to realize not everyone can handle being around them, self included when I first started.
Sound like you have the time, I do recommend volunteering. Every minute counts.

By the time they weigh 2 pounds meaning ready for adoption, the kittens are on dry food.
