I was born in 1980. I always thought this was one of their 70's hits. When it was on the radio back when I was a kid, I thought the dj was "taking me back." This song has their early 70's flavor written all over it. It puts me in the mind of Cry Together and Let Me Make Love to You. I was born in 1980. I always thought this was one of their 70's hits. When it was on the radio back when I was a kid, I thought the dj was "taking me back." This song has their early 70's flavor written all over it. It puts me in the mind of Cry Together and Let Me Make Love to You. Funny I'm just realizing through your comments that this was a 1987 hit, the first one they'd really had in about 10 years. Regardless, this is one of my very favorite from the Jays.

I did too!!! When I first heard my older brother playing this back 87 (when I was 18) on a cassette, I thought it was one of their older tracks from an old album (like a b-side song) that I just never heard before. My sister who is 4 years younger than me, thought it was "Levert" because they had a couple of hits out at the time, Lol!!! Classic O'Jays though, very beautiful song and timeless.

I was about 12 or 13 when this came out. I remember we'd blast this joint while my grandfather was driving us school shopping . Me, my cousins, and my sister would sing the " you know you make me feel..." part at the top of lungs like this was our song. those were the days.

I enjoyed this to the fullest! Watching the videos from back in the '80's & '90's is awesome for me, so I can't imagine what it must be like for the Ojay's. I enjoyed seeing The Ojay's, The Whisper's and The Dell's perform at many different venues. During those times, The Dell's refused to allow the audience to video their performances. Finally,Finally, FINALLY my searching has prevailed! And now I can FINALLY download this at first chance and jam to this song like coo-koo! I'll have the cd worn the mess out!
