This movie is so bad its awesome! My friends and I worked at Kmart in the 80s. We used to run around the Patio section (where we worked) and Yell "You're a disease, and I'm the cure." So what if its stupid and unrealistic, its still a hoot! Cobra. A absurd film filled with cliches and police propaganda. It seems every other action film in the 70s 80s & 90s was about a single good cop unable to do his civic duty because the system was too bureaucratic, too civilized, too just. The only way to defeat the bad guys (most of which are created in real life because they grow up being exposed to violent hollywood crap like this) is lower yourself to their level, (while being more handsome).

This movie has one of the best climaxes ever. Simply, the number of people that come at the end to get Cobra is overwhelming. I mean, there is no planning amongst them; it is like each of them is determined to kill Cobra himself, making it all the more terrifying. True mafia style, I guess.

@themachman19691 actually, this was what Beverly Hills Cop was going to be at first when Stallone was attached to that film. He was going to star in it and also write the screenplay as well. I'm not sure what happened with BHC, but Stallone ended up leaving that project. good thing he did too. We got two awesome action movies from that happening.
