You'll find that the MPs and Lords have very little respect for the Queen. They talk loudly as she enters the room, and a great politician from Northern England once sat in her chair and shouted "I abolish the monarchy". We really don't need them anymore.
The person earlier who said that are social parasites is very right. They are also financial leeches and useless figureheads. Pack them off into a big house in the country and leave them alone; let's build a government for the people.

Nope, because there are plenty of countries in the world who don't have elected governments.
I couldn't vote in the May 1997 election, as I was a month away from being 18 back then. Tony actually did a lot of good for this country, despite the failures that overshadow all of it because of the hatred people have of him. I know my parents and family were the richest they've ever been coming into the millennium under a Labour government.
