Ok wtf. Everywhere i go on youtube there is always retarded off topic garbage going back and forth: "America sucks" "God is fake" "Whites are dumb"... Just shut the fuck up you annoying pieces of shit. Get a life instead of sitting on your ass in front of a computer yelling about shit that is pointless! On a lighter note, this band kicks ass!
The main reason they released it over in England first is because they played a majority of their material here first. Due to touring Arctic Monkeys as surprise guests, this was probably because of Josh helping them produce Humbug
Hey Pin head, 2 out of 3 of those artist are American. Did you think that those Americans are of European ancestry? Are you so limited in your intellectual capacity that you think that it is a matter of superior British Quality.Isn't American bashing somewhat 2003? Just drink a pint and enjoy. Leeds,Glastonbury are stellar venues but so are Red Rocks,Coachella and The Whiskey. So just enjoy...I am sure if someone did a DNA test on
did you actually just say that north americans aren't from europe and then your turning around and calling him stupid ? get your fucking head out of your ass and realise, america is nothing shitty wasteland extension of europe
There are no bands, including the Foo Fighters, that rock harder than what I'm listening to. Ya'lls name is gonna cause so much frustration with so many editors. Dem Crooked What??? Tubshires??
cuz josh and dave like the Uk better..look at all the awesome recorded shows of qotsa and foo fighters, recorded at fuckin leeds, glastonbury, brixton, all that shit..americas on the back burner..i guess they like european fans more
Love Grohl on the drums, always have. I am not a fan of the vocals though. Never been a fan of Queens of the Stone Age though, so maybe that's why? Who knows? Overall, I'm not overly enthused about this project. Mind you, they come to phx, az I'll be first in line for tickets to see Dave on the drums live, but...... I don't know.... maybe the more I listen the more I'll like it?
And it comes out the very same of my birthday! I'm not gonna wait to see if someone wants to give it to me as a present. It will be my own present for me. So grateful for this one.
not sure how this would would work, but i think adding Jack White as a guitarist would be freaking awesome.. i think his style would suit this great stuff.
But that wont happen, because Jack White has waaaayyy too many side projects, and is a bit of a control freak lol
Finally, a track from TCV that has a Foo Fighters feel. They normally sound like Queens of the Stone Age songs, Zeppelin songs, or a combination of the two.
I'd say that as a guitarist, Josh Homme can keep up with the rest of the band. Sure, he's no Jimmy Page, but he's close enough for that band to get away with it
Pretty cool, I guess. I hope I can make an unfavorable comparison without receiving a faceful of thumbs-downs:
The Zep-ish eastern keys in this song are pretty cool, but they are only noticeable for about a third of the song, and during that time they're too far in the background. The keys IMO make the coolest riff in the song, and they're washed out in guitars and (admittedly) amazing drums.
Couldn't JPJ convince Josh to make the keys more dominant?
It is a grower for sure. I've been listening to it for 3 days straight, unsure at first, but now it's coming full circle. Its just a lot to wrap your head around at first. Listen to it with headphones cranked up full volume.
I agree as well and this does not come as a surprise. Many of the projects that any of these musicians have been involved in were (and still are) so revolutionary that nobody understands at first. That is why it takes a few listens to truly appreciate it. Thus is art.
