  • LOL

I totally thot you were gonna show us how to make a mirror that you put on the bathroom wall! :-/

Any chance you can create that?

    <3

  • Thanks for that. It works and i could finish the monument of Chenobyl.

  • 1:05 FAIL lol

  • There IS an actual mirror tool in SketchUp 8, guys.

    Right click > Flip along > Blue/ Red/ Green

    URL: type 5fEWi after goo.gl

  • right click>flip along>pick your axis

    zomg this is so noob.

  • @sentientagent this was made in sketchup version 4-5 dude!

  • @sentientagent not every object can be mirrored by that method

  • @carlosraba2 yea? like wat?

  • best free programme out since Google :P

  • wow i never thought it would be that easy

  • i like your voice

  • why not just "flip" it....

  • @ivanUtube using the rotate tool to flip it would also reverse the poles. The copies would look identical but try and push/pull from the top of your original component and it will push/pull it from the bottom of your copy.

  • Gracias, antes del primer minuto me ayudó... gracias mil

  • copy and paste does the same thing =/

  • very true, google rules and btw jjw1337 u r idiot for not knowing the usefulness of sketchup not others

  • i need axial!!!!!!

  • things get really cool when you transfer models to a laser cutter. :3

  • I knew there had to be an easy way to mirror. as usual it was more simple than I thought. way to go SKP!

  • Thanks this helped me a lot. :D

  • muchas gracias..

  • google, you freakin rule!

  • Yes i do.

  • sketchup is amazing!!!!Thanks sketchup I've found my way to blender, which is incredible 3d modeling software,FREE!!!!!Now I'm using both in harmony! What a combination.

  • @phillozoph50 yeah, there's a script to export to povray too, which would be cool, but, it doesn't export the textures to samba networked drives.

  • Thank YOU!!!

  • perfect. I ve searched through time...

    thanks

  • try to MRRR your object. cmon, for once prenounce it right xD

  • And to snap the copied object to the original object use the move tool by

clicking on a point on the object copy and move the move tool to the point

where you want it to snap too and click on it and it snaps into place.

  • Also you can select Object you want to copy, click the Move tool press Ctl

key on keyboard and click the object to make a copy of it, press 1 of the

arrow keys to move along a specific axis, position the second object copy

out of the way a bit, right click a model and click Flip Along and choose

Red Direction or Green Direction or Blue Direction.

  • theres no mirror material in google skp?

  • yah..!

  • very good :)

    ty for help me

  • They're completely different programs used for completely different purposes. If you were actually familiar with either, you wouldn't make statements that make you look like an idiot.

  • I could say the same thing for Autocad. Autocad is for retards. ProE rules.

Simply SketchUp is FREE and SIMPLE. And it's not a little particular.

  • @Dokdude considering that it is one of the hardest programs to learn, and one of the heaviest program for the computer (ask any technician) it would seem that it is not for retards...

  • @vlajkozr they both rule in completely different ways... autocad is for drafting and design, and sketchup for the 3D. i have 3D models in autocad, adt which is the autcad program geared towards 3D models, very hard to use and even harder to get good views. sketchup just makes all of that easier

  • Wow, that's awesome.

  • Very good.its so easy.Thank you very much! me too!

  • BETTER MIRRORING TECHNIQUE -

all you do, is make the item you want to mirror a group, rightclick it, then click "flip along red" on one of the menus. (axis varries on which ever one you want to flip it from) and then place next to the first item. therefore mirroring.

  • i use to do that

  • This information provided by Swiftarrow01 is totaly correct, i also use this technique as it is automatic and much easier than the technique shown in this video.

  • Very good.its so easy.Thank you very much!

  • and as long as im asking for help, how do you get bolded polygonal shapes unbolded so that you can pop out shapes?

  • I understand how to make two halves, but i dont understand how to make them both do the same things, like when you make one side pop out, the other side does it too.

  • Make a component. Put in another instance of that component and mirror it. When you work with components, changing one instance will change all the other instances. If you're not familiar w/ components, there are a few videos on it here on youtube.
