  • hi i'm vegan and I support and respect what this guy is doing, but has he been checked for everything medically, have results shown that he has adequete B12 amounts. I know he's not showing any deficiencies, but surely that can be attributed to mind over matter, but at the end of the day there is always a physical reality we have to be responsible for. There are lots of stories of people ignoring physical problems like cancer and living for years without medication but in the end, well you know!

  • @Scottzer1 strangley enough, if you eat enough of al the different leafy greens, vegetables, etc... you can have a normal level of vitamin B12. If you don't you can always get B12 injections.

  • I have been vegan for many years with amazing results, but today i have been inspired by runningraws videos to buy a blender and make raw smoothies !! : P

    i've always known deep down that raw is the natural way, because cooking is certainly not natural, damaging nutrients and the pollution for the planet. Raw although very logical is another step that can only be achieved through this type of confident inspiration.

  • Did you know that if you put tap water into a container and check the PH it will give you a certain reading. Then if you put your finger in the container for a few seconds, take it out, then check the PH again...the PH will be lower! why? b/c the chemicals that use to be in the water has been absorbed threw your skin and into your system. I'm really concerned about the idea that what you put into your body via food is the most important thing for many reasons. In any event I enjoy your videos

  • Ernietube: You didn't mention that native Kenyans train at high altitude with extreme desert conditions. It makes such a difference that some endurance athletes here train in special oxygen chambers that mimic high altitude training. Ever think that could be why they're such great runners? Also, stop being such a closed minded ass and try it out before knocking it down. Regardless of what anyone thinks, Tim is trying to inspire people to live a healthier life. Great work Tim, keep it up.

  • If you read his story , how he got into all this was he was a Mess, he was Sick, Poor Immune system, Exhausted and couldnt get out of bed.

    He started to eat this way, and doing nothing different except changing his diet, he was after 1yr Running 15 Miles a day !

    That alone speaks IMMENSELY to the power and performance Potential of this diet. this is the most Unique Interesting Diet in the world, its Organic, clean, Green and the Benefits to a Person, Economy, Ecology etc are massive

  • @ernietube: if u ve never tried 100% rawvegan you ve not the experience to talk on this subject. If you would have been eating rawvegan for a month you would change your mind. But your probably to old to make such a huge experiment. So keep your knowledge, save it and take it with you in your grave. You re Einstein we love you!

  • I found the perfect diet. It's called "LOW CARBOHYDRATES".

    I lost some 10 kg over 12 months and have maintained this weight for the last 12 months. My blood sugar went from "pre-diabetic" to normal.

    Why would I want to go on a "way out" unbalanced diet for? I walk some 2 to 3 hours a day without any problems.

    So, why should I change?

  • Kenyan long distance runner's diet-

    Eating practices of the best endurance athletes in the world

    Kenyan runners tend to eat a limited variety of foods, and that was certainly the case with these elite athletes. Most of their nutrients came from vegetable sources, and the "staple" edibles were bread, boiled rice, poached potatoes, boiled porridge, cabbage, kidney beans and ugali (a well-cooked, corn-meal paste that's molded into balls and dipped into other foods for flavoring).

  • Problem is- most people don't agree with you.

    Eating raw is not the way to go. Ask the mid long distance African runners. They dominate their sport not through going on a "way out" diet but through heredity, their high altitude environment and LOTS of running.

    I suggest you set a better goal in life. The one you got is nonsense.

  • Actually, I train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and muay thai so it would be very hard for me to be fat with the amount of training I do. With that said I don't even remember writing that comment I must have been drunk. Peace.

  • He doesn't train to be big, he's a DISTANCE RUNNER. Big muscles aren't so helpful in distance running. I'd be willing to bet that if he weight trained, he would be able to gain muscle.

  • I've been trying to lose weight for years and I admit I'm guilty of trying ridiculous fad diets that may seem to "work" but are NOT healthy for anyone. The answer was there all along: eat lots of fruits and veggies, but I've always avoided it looking for a "faster" way to get to my goal but you've helped give that extra push I needed to really stick to the one true way to good health. I can't give up eating meat so what I've decided is to lower my meat intake and drink more green smoothies!
