It is a tragedy that islamic cultures have gone backwards in terms of knowledge and education. In what we in Europe call the Middle Ages Islam had great scholars and did research into science, mathematics and technology. Nowadays Muslims think they can extract all useful knowledge fro the Qu'ran. How sad! It was never meant to be a book of science: physics, chemistry, biology and I think the earliest Muslim scholars would have agreed. Muslim clerics are now usually uneducated, ignorant people.
