Your best bet to find tickets is through ebay, craigslist toronto, kijiji toronto or through scalpers outside the arena. Search and you'll find a good deal somewhere guranteed. Cheers mate.

The Marlies only draw about 2,000 fans per game so you could easily get a ticket for those games, the quality is one league below the NHL, so it would be like Football League Championship to the EPL. Not exactly sub-standard, alot of AHL guys are just there to earn experience before playing in the NHL.

im the biggest leaf fan you will meet.born and raised canadian. but luke schenn has limited offensive potential, and while his defence is great, defence alone can be found in free agency and can be taught easily and is much easier to find. look at the red wings, tehy dont even hit, but play great defence. the truth is filatov has an amazing offensive potential. his D may not be great, but niether was steve yzermans, mario lemieux's or wayne gretzkys when they entered the league. and that changed

If it can be taught easily why can't our team play defense? I love this pick, schenn may not score much but thats okay. As long as he plays well defensively its all good. We have enough offensive defensemen dude. Kaberle, Stralman, Colaiacovo, White, etc..we dont have any solid defensive dmen in the system at all. Excellent pick imo.

Luke Schenn will be a dominant defense man in the NHL. Filatov has talent, and a good attitude, but he isn't the sure-bet full time NHLer that Schenn will be. The draft is all about educated guesses on these young players futures. The general consensus was that Schenn was ahead of Filatov.

I hope Schenn does well but it seems like the Leafs always make bad decisions when it comes to the NHL Draft.
Remember when they drafted Luke Richardson? He was a highly touted defenceman too but he ended up being awful in the NHL.
If Schenn was indeed on the top pairing with Doughty for Canada's junior team, though, then he probably will be a great NHLer and hopefully we'll all forget about that Luke Richardson mistake (Sakic went 8 spots after Richardson that year). :)

yes but gill and foote are very similar players, big hard nosed defencemen that dont rack up a lot of points. Cliff Fletcher (toronto GM) said that Schenn is a shutdown pdefencemen and you usualy wont see him scoring goals all these guys keep the puck out of there net--- they dont put it in the other net i cant wait to see how this kid does but i dont expect to see him in the lineup in september good luck kid

This is great!!Luke Schenn is an amazing defencmen who has a heart in hockey, hes a player who wants to win.This is exactly what the Leafs need. But it sucks cause he will probably have to play in the Marlies for a year or two.And if the Leafs don't make the playoffs next year, it's nobodys fault.They are rebuliding, it takes like 2 years to rebuild a team that hasent made the playoffs in the last 3 years. But I think the Leafs WILL make the playoffs next year but lose like semis or quarters.

Dude, all our hopes are not riding on Schenn. We will get a top 5 pick next year as well and we will have to build this way. It will be a slow process but will pay off in the end. MLSE is finally doing it right. Next year we will draft a forward and have a great chance of getting Tavares.

I agree, especially with the whole Montreal and Sundin thing going on if he does sign for them hopefully fletcher has something worked out for draft picks or good prospects. Without Sundin and a mediocre free agency there is almost no choice but to do badly next year, fingers crossed for Tavares.

I don't think you get it. To be successful, you must draft well. Schenn was by FAR the best player available to the Leafs in the draft.
There is nothing wrong with building a team from the defense out, as long as you have the right players(like Anaheim or Detroit).
This is only a piece in the re-building phase, it will take time and patience. The mess that JFJ and Peddie have left will not be fixed over-night.
Btw, Sundin is gone. Forget about getting offense from him.
