seriously, they should make a Halo movie. district 9 was alright, but Halo would've made district 9 look like a B-movie, I do like Halo, but I'm not a huge fan of it, I highly daught that there going to make a Halo movie, but I really hope they really do because after seeing the trailer of this, they should make the Halo movie

It's because production companies keep dropping production of it. Also, Microsoft is being very picky about it because no video game movie has turned out well, and they don't want the Halo movie to suffer the same fate. Neill Blomkamp and Peter Jackson were originally going to do a Halo movie, but they wanted to see what Neill Blomkamp could do first, so they made District 9. After that, Blomkamp and Jackson decided to drop from the project, as well.

Just realised, u kno Avatar? I think some of the human ships like the helicopters were based off the Hornet/falcon of Halo... Also didn't spielberg try to make a Halo film, gave up and went and made Avatar? That's probably where the ideas came from...

Peter Jackson was supposed to make Halo. James Cameron did Avatar, also the Terminator movies, which Halo's ships seem to take after. So it's the other way around, Halo may have (more than likely) got the ideas for uniforms, ships, armor, and guns from the movies. Ever watch Starship Troopers? Some things in their really remind me of Halo, like the Infantry Armor, the Giant Beetle that spews out the lava, the morita, and the flying bugs minus the shooting of plasma. Lol.

the halo movie was was gonna be pretty good but then in the middle of the filming they got a budget cut so they made it into district 9

@vtheawesome not exactly... u were right about the budget cuts but after that they just stopped the entire production and then Steven Spielberg wanted to prove that he could make a Halo movie so he made district 9 and they are currently working on a halo movie, directed by Steven Spielberg

@vtheawesome no, district 9 was based on a previous web-film, not in theatres, that was on a small budget. It was never meant to be Halo, nor about Halo, nor anything to do with Halo.

That being said, Neil Blomkamp would probably be good for Halo. He directed the Halo 3 live-action trailer "Landfall."

ive read all the books and the backstories NOT focusing on the chief is those that were the most fun to read:) John is one badass character with a mysterious personality (or not..) but all other characters are much more complex

(oh, and i sooo want to see a movie clip with the N.O.V.A. (or what was it called?) i hope i get to see it in Halo: Reach:D )
