Well I am happy the DEA spent so much time and money along with the Coast Guard in order to stop the supply of weed these guys were bringing in.

But that is nearly, if not, impossible. Even if not caught, people tend to brag.

And when caught people talk to the police. The police have a way of making people think that they are on their side if the suspect talks. Many suspects get themselves convicted by pointlessly talking. If they just kept their mouth shut and spend the night in jail, the police don't have enough evidence.
