    Nate

  • I also live in Sweden, but I find that all the usual materials, birch bark, dry grass ets is beneth the snow, what other "dry materials" besides cat tails do you use in winter? (I'm not allways near a lake)

I'm trying to keep it "legal" by not taking anything from living or standing trees.

  • I never get tired of watching your vids crazy keep it up freddy and happy new year

  • Very nice!

  • Dude you do an amazing job! I still have not been able to make a bow drill fire. Looks like you have beaver. Do you ever trap?

  • Hey there Fredde, yet another nice bow drill set...looks like winter is getting a slow start,no big snow? we are just getting lots of rain, all the best, :-)

    Greg.

  • What materials do you recommend for your bird's nest during the Swedish winter?

  • @aru05001

i was with the water that day, and i find some cattail and some dead weeds,

otherwise i just look for dry stuff, and do my best to get it to flame up,

    fredde,

  • what kind of wood do u use.

  • @redchevy1957

    fredde

  • nice one Fredde :o)

  • Fantastic job. Not to beat! ...Perfect, my friend. ... Best wishes and thanks for sharing you skills, Sepp

  • Hi, I wonder what do you use as a bow "string"? Fan from Czech Republic.

  • With a natural wood bearing to boot, you are the man Fredde!

    :-)

  • I still have not been able to do that. I can use flint and steel to make fire OK but not with bow drill. I am in the pacific nortwest, Oregon. We just got 14 1/2 inches of rain in 5 days. But I will learn to do it this year. You make it look like a piece of cake. Good job fredde

  • Thats my goal. Right there in this video. To go out, see the material, make the kit, and spin up an ember. Beautiful every time I see it.

  • @EconoChallenge

camo on, you know how to find dry wood,

    fredde

  • What part of the country do you live in?

  • Thanks for showing the skills!

  • awesome skills as always, could you maybe one day do a video showing how you would make a back pack frame in the bush to carry your stuff?? thanks!

  • Hey why dont you do another video of a swedish fast knife. Love that video. Also when you make a new bow drill video try to explain what do you look in the wood to consider it good for a bow drill

  • nice to see you again . i have to practice my bowdrill at home more often .

  • Nice fire Fredde, thank you for sharing this with us.
