@thepaperterror not really, there's no way there would be NOTHING black, like the shadows on your face or body

try blue or red :)

@thepaperterror In theory, yes. But realistically there would be something black about your person (Whether it be eyes, hair, shadows, etc.) This is why a lot of people use vibrant colors like green and red. They don't show up as commonly on people and are a lot easier to avoid.

@dragonfire970 It's really just the color. Green works better and you get a better key. Really any color will work, its just that the color green is the furthest from most skin tones and objects. Of course if you're filming plants then you'll probably want to use blue screen instead.

when i use the keyer the person has a green outline around them. i messed with the sliders, and nothing really helped. im using vegas, but i tried premiere and the same thing happened. should i change light placement or should i have them be farther away from the screen?

Is there a way to do the lighting within the editing program? I don't really have anything at my disposal to create lighting other then windows in my house, but since they are usually near other windows and/or they are in areas I can't film, it doesn't really help much.
