  • Falwell is burning in hell right now.

  • @699backstab hell isnt real unfortunately, but if it were yes he would be down there with the homos and muslims he hated so much

  • It's a shame Jerry Falwell didn't get right with Krishna before he died. He'll probably be an infectious bacteria in his next life.

  • @TheIntolerantAtheist krisha isnt real, zeus on the other hand

  • Opps. Didn't mean to one star.

    Sorry! That's the opposite.

    I'll give'r a 5 again soon. :P Damn.

  • The quote on schools scares the living fuck out of me, you call this a gem of wit and wisdom? I see neither in it.

  • Sorry to take so long to reply.

"Wit and Wisdom" was meant sarcastically.

All of the Falwell quotes bother me.

  • Anyone know where Jerry boy was buried? I'd like to pay my respects by leaving a turd on his grave.

  • Just look for a HUGE hole :)

  • "Anyone know where Jerry boy was buried? "

He has a big monument right on the Liberty U. campus. They supposedly keep an eye out for grave whizzers, so plan accordingly.

BTW...his fellow theocrat/racist, D. James Kennedy, is buried in Florida- check Find A Grave for the precise location. That also might be worth a nocturnal exercise in defecation, after a hearty binge of Mexican food and Belgian chocolate, as well.

  • surely scotch and kebab for such an occasion.

  • Thanks for watching

  • Hahaha, I love that quote about feminists. I'm a Liberty grad and I didn't even know he said that. I love the quotes, keep them coming! Sorry they bother all of you left-wing socialists out there!

  • I hope you liked the dirge too.

(Being a "Liberty grad," you may not know what a dirge is. There is a book you can look it up in; it is called a dictionary. If you don't know what a dictionary is, ask an adult.)

  • What a douche...he was definitely a charlatan, and sad to say, the world is absolutely better off without him.

  • Agreed

  • I had a chance to discuss religion with Falwell years ago. It surprised me to find out how unintelligent he was

  • I wonder what that says about his "flock?"

Unfortunately, a couple of the links are now dead.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Hitchens said that he would be surprised if Falwell had read the bible or if indeed he had read any long book.

  • Damn. that quote is in the vid.

  • Hey Man,

Great to hear from you! I didn't even realize it was you until today.

I think it would be fair to say you have been missed in the Atheist community.

  • Many thanks for that. There are some great people here and YT is a unique platform for exchanging thoughts and ideas. Glad to be back :)

  • It's sad we have to wait for these people to die for society to move forward.

  • It is sad such people have so much influence.

    Thanks for your comment

  • Mr. Falwell was a very sad man. He was a very judgemental man towards other people. So many people like Jerry Falwell that call themselves Christians. To me when you look at them in their eyes, you see such a hate. I believe that one of the biggest Christians I looked up to is Tammy Baker because she loved everyone and did not turn her back on them. . Not everyone has to agree with the way someone lives their life, but don't judge them, love them.

  • I don't know why this was originally marked as spam.

I am not a Christian, but I welcome your thoughts.

    Thanks for your comment

  • "Millions of Americans asked, "why, why, god, why didnn't you take Pat Robertson with him"

    How true!

  • You should only say good of the dead. Jerry Falwell is dead...good.

  • A major asshole.

  • Agreed.

    James Kennedy just died too.

  • A-fucking-MAN!

    GOOD-fucking-RIDDENS!!

    NOW

    WHERES

    HIS

    GRAVE,

    I

    GOTTA

    PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! (put out the fire?)

    LIKE A RACE HORSE

  • Thanks for you comment.

I really need to find another copy of "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" to link to for the dirge.

  • I will never understand how he got away with saying the hateful things he did.

  • Thanks for watching.

Too bad the user took down the "dirge" video. It was "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" from "The Wizard of Oz" playing in the background to multiple face shots of Jerry Falwell.

  • IntellAGent2o71828, I saw that vid and it was a good one too.

  • Watch the Christopher Hitchens on Anderson Cooper video. Although it may not be the whole story, I think there's some truth it.

  • Will do. Thanks.

  • What a hatefull man he was. May his soul rest in pain.

  • whatever else he may have said or done, he did help organise and fund large effective outreach to poor, homeless, and young women who wanted alternatives to abortion. but i was not aware he could be so hateful.

  • As Hitchens points out on other vids, groups like Hamas also do much charitable work. Does that mean they're good people? Look at Charles Keating, who stole more than $200 million and who donated more than a million bucks to the fraud Mother Teresa's so-called charity. Did that make him a good person even though he ruined the financial security of thousands of people?

  • Jerry Falwell wanted everyone to be a fat, white, protestant male just like himself. So rotten was he that it's hard to say bad things about him, because no word or phrase is vile enough.

  • "Every good Christian ought to give Jerry Falwell a swift kick in the ass" -- Barry Goldwater

  • though i disliked Falwell, i find it hard to rejoice in anyone's death. i have worked as a personal care aide for seriously ill or dying people, sometimes in the room when a patient died of cancer or aids.

  • Ya but does the Tesla come with all the cool stuff. :) half a second for 2mph above 6 is great.

  • well if they make a M5 hybrid, that doesnt lose and performance, i will catch on with u guys! :D

  • Goodluck with that. The rich control the world. And they like to stay rich.

  • "I don't think it's compatible with a Christian ethic to ignore the environmental degradation that we face; it is a moral question for everyone and therefore a present imperative. It's perfectly true that nearly a quarter of carbon emissions on the face of the globe are attributable to the usage of the United States, and the leadership of the United States has been very slow to catch up with this" - Archbishop of Canterbury (note: Falwell defended SUV's)

  • I'm tied of pausing this almost every time to read it.

Falwell's roasting on a spit by now anyways.

  • Thank you for your comment. An EXCELLENT point.

At least check out the links in the description, I think you will find them amusing and/or interesting.

(And in the future I will remember your observation and think hard about making text time longer and/or providing text with audio. Thanks again.)

  • right on :)

  • "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God"

    (Mark 10:23, 25)

  • One of my favorite Bible passages. But do you know what it means?

  • As much as I understand it: Falwell has no chance to get into heaven.

But I'm willing to learn if I'm wrong. I'm not Falwell. ;-)

  • As it stands it is a rather strang mixed metaphor.

I have seen two possible answers.

    1. The Greek words for camel and robe are similar and it really should be rope.

    2. "The eye of the needle" was a smaller gate next to the main gate. A camel would have to either be:

    a. unpacked (as in a rich man stripped of wealth?)

    or

    b. go through on its knees (as in genuflect?)

  • Jerry loves God, but is God loves Jerry?

  • I think he was just a fraud.

  • As bastard as bastardism goes

  • I thought about putting in my own opinion of Falwell, but who can improve on Maher and Hitchens?

    LOL

  • Too bad the moron has never read the constitution, or has read up on the Deists who founded this country, such as George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. Those guys are important right?

  • I was briefly a Deist before becoming a non-believer. I wonder if those founding fathers would be Deists today? Or Atheists?

  • With what we know to day... it's not a long stretch that they would be agnostics/athiests. But there are many quotes on Jefferson describing the utter stupidity of the christian religion.

  • I think you are right. I viewed a series of videos on YouTube about the history of non-belief. I think it would support your idea.

  • in 10 years 2/3 of the world's emissions will come from China and India. What we do doesn't matter.
