You know what: although you could give it more swing, I really dig your performance, pure and CLEAR melody and harmony, no tidbit BS, no chopping the tune appart by up and down runs in the middle of a melodic flow like, purists are going to tar and feather me for this- AT. Cheers.
I like the syncopation and I like the improv, too. Great arrangement!
Hope I can work up something that is any where close, I'm no pro. Thanks to folks like you posting on Youtube, and my theory books, I'm always improving.
@kw94544 .... that's what synco is ... you don't hit the obvious beat , so then the listeners' inner beat is activated and you get a biilly holiday effect that swings see what you mean though , and i like it
I'm discontented with homes that are rented so I have invented my own Darling this place is a lover's oasis where life's weary chase is unknown. Far from the cry of the city where flowers pretty caress the streams Cosy to hide in to live side by side in don't let it abide in my dreams!
hi gp , only just seen your reply and listened again , like it !
as for tenths , what i do is , say for C to octave E, play instead C to octave C, then G ,lower,up to E ! it's something i learned from an old sheft's book ! nothing very new ! have a good new yr ! !
I agree that you should be careful of using too much pedal with this type of music. My problem is I can't stretch 10ths, so need to spread them. It would sound really bad if I didnt pedal those! But I appreciated the comment. Thank you.
Why the hell are there so many dislikes, this is amazing.

This is overly syncopated, but nice. I think you're stressing the wrong beat.

Picture you upon my knee
just tea for two and two for tea
just me for you and you for me
alone
Nobody near us to see us or hear us
no friends or relations on weekend
vacations
we won't have it known, dear, that we own a tele-
phone
dear.

Day will break and you'll awake
and start to bake a sugar cake
for me to take for all the boys
to see.
We will raise a family
a boy for you, a girl for me
oh can't you see how happy we
would be.
Picture you...
Day will break...
