Grimestone is a styracosaurus and it isn't a spinosaur, it is a Dimetrodon and those arent dinosaurs, they are mammal like reptiles from the Permian period.

I open up the red heel spurs on Grimstone when in combined mode and rest the spurs on the leg drones... this does a good job in stabilizing the knees. Oh, and I always open up the drones for all of my PCC drones--they're way easier to put on and it saves putting any stress on the commander.

Haha I love dinosaurs too so I have to chip in. Parasaurolophus, ankylosaurus, pachycephalosaurus, and triceratops are all legit dinosaurs. Dimetrodon is a pelycosaur, not a dinosaur. You're right it's not really triceratops. Looks more like a styracosaurus except that it has those brow horns... in the final analysis who cares? It's great they have new dinosaurs now. I just wish they'd make transforming versions.

Love love love my Dinobots so I had to have this set. I'm not terribly overall impressed with the PCC's. They all seem to be the same drones rehashed for the most part. I have three sets,the Aerialbots,the Protectobots,and this set and by far this set is the best. I might get the Constructicon set because it looks to be less generic than the other sets. I have also always wanted a Dinobot combiner, but this one just doesn't do it for me. I'm not a fan of the PCC's arms and legs at all. I appreciate the efforts from Hasbro, but would much rather see them do a 4 scouts + 1 Deluxe Dinobot combiner. :)

I know I shouldn't talk about inaccuracies with dinosaur alt modes in transformers, but this is only a nitpick; I wonder why they called the Dimetrodon a Spinosaurus. Spinosaurus and Dimetrodon were two completely different animals and that arm is clearly Dimetrodon (and on that note, Dimetrodon isn't even a dinosaur lol). :-P

Oh well, not your fault though. It does look good and I'm definitely interested in this. Also, Parasaurolophus (PA ra SAW ro lo FUS) was a dinosaur. ;-)

As a PCC I actually like this set less than most, but then I'm not a G1 fan. Most G1 fans will love the homage value of the set (and anything resembling G1 colours for most bots anyway). My main problem with the set is that you pretty much have this combiner set apart from the rest, and you can't interchange and swap the parts around which, at least for me, is part of the fun. Heavytread instructions said to use Dinobots, but that would just look silly. Great review, though! =)

@optibotimus The Triceratops and "Spinosaurus" are actually a Styracosaurus and Dimetrodon respectively. The Dimetrodon isn't a dinosaur, but it did exist a little after, though it's closer to a mammal than a lizard. The Parasaurolophus is a real dinosaur, and if you ever saw the Land Before Time movies, Duckie was one.

Use a tiny tiny drop of super glue on the knee joint and move back and forth until it get stiff/dry...dont stop moving the joint until your sure its dry!!!! done it many times on my older ones... works like a charm.

These guys get a plus in my book for their colors. I'm just a fan of when combiner groups have a matching color theme. It makes them look like they belong to a specific team. It also helps create a more full look when combined in their gestalt mode versus mismatched colors from combiners over the years, such as Obominus for example, hehe. Dare I say, he's one of the better Powercore Combiners groups.
