This stuff sounds effective! But YOU SHOULD *NEVER* USE ESSENTIAL OILS AROUND CATS, especially where a cat can come into physical contact with them. Cats do not have the proper enzyme "pathways", the biochemical mechanisms, in the liver that metabolize EOs. Yes, you might have used this safely around your cat, but ESSENTIAL OILS CAN CAUSE SEIZURES AND EVEN DEATH IN CATS!
With Essential Oils, there are no SAFE cats, only LUCKY cats.
I'm thinking that product would work best on the hockey equipment if you used it weekly or monthly after first buying new equipment, like a preventive measure. I don't know how long you had those gloves before you first attempted to clean them with What Odor or anything else. I'll bet if you blasted new with a couple squirts of What Odor after each game or practice it would make a huge difference over the life of the gloves.
I got my order of what odor? a few days ago. I'm sad to report that it does not work on my moldy smelling air jordans. a lot of people told me that theres pretty much nothing you can do for something that has the mold smell, and i guess its true. what odor actually made it worse, because it got the shoes moist again.
Also, what odor has a pretty nauseating smell to it. its pretty disgusting. Im starting to question wether this stuff is good for anything...
I just ordered this stuff. I have a brand new pair of air jordans that are about 10 years old, and have this mildew smell on the inside of them. I've tried letting them sit out on my balcony for about a month straight, spray the inside with lysol, and febreeze, and even was told to let them sit in a closed box with an open container of vinegar.
The smell is way less potent, and almost gone, but theres still a slight smell lingering. i'm hoping this will do the trick. i want to wear them
The sweat from your hands is soaked into the glove, that's why the What Odor wasn't completely effective. Either give it time to sink in or try a couple more applications. I have used What Odor on much more powerful odor's than this, and it has not left a wiff of odor. Give it a few more sprays, I have no doubt that What Odor? will completely eliminate this odor or any other odor.
