I wish I could have some pride in our country, but I can't convince myself in to a prideful state, although I wish I could. Take a look at Greece where everyone is rioting because of the banks. The private corporate take over of America is the problem, but at the same time these "capitalists" push for consolidation of government and the promise of a wonderful communist paradise, even though the consolidation of government only gives them power.

I can really relate to this song. i think it's about how the children must live with the mistakes of the previous generation. We are inheriting a world on the brink of annihilation, a consumerist culture, environmental destruction and a lot of social programming (MTV). It is about rejecting these things and learning from the past and trying to not make the same mistakes as our fathers.
