Though I know a only a bit about scales and such.. Ive played piano only for 3 weeks, and sure its a hassle to see what he´s doing in the middle parts, but with a couple of hours and alot of pauses/replays, you can figure out what he's doing. you just need patience.

not meant to criticise you you but with this tutorial it is not possible to learn the song as a piano rooky. you don't really explain, neither show what notes you are actually playing. and it's way too fast for non-piano-pros. mind making another one, explaining it very slowly and clearly showing what you are actually playing? i would really love to learn this

im a student at Sam Houston State University in texas and i am writing a arrangement of this song..u basically inspired me to do so..its a 3 part piece..piano, acoustic guitar, and violin..once i have everything written im going to have it performed in front of a live audience and have it recorded..i will put it on youtube and hopefully you will see it..ill also put up the sheet music since i know u said u had a problem with writing in one of your other vids..this vid helped a lot when writing!!

Piano parts like what he's playing from 1:34 onward would take a longer time to explain than for a viewer to just pick up by watching; he's basically playing a root,fifth, and octave in the left hand and a triad in the right. Pretty straight-ahead rock stuff, but a cool chord progression nonetheless. I definitely wouldn't bother trying to take the time to explain that stuff :)

It took me some time, but I understanding it now. The bridge was the hardest part for me. The beginning is actually very simple now that i figured it out. Just watch his hands and listen, you'll get it eventually man.

"In the beginning, of a tutorial that is, you don't start off by saying "and it goes something like this" and then immediately move on to the next part to begin the 'tutorial' aspect of the vid.
