  • This is a boulder problem. Not a route

  • oNE OF the hardest climbs when i was climbing was called "The Prow", which was an E7 6b 6b 6c. I reckon people nowadays - and then - were upping the grades somewhat. James's climb was pretty incredible though. I don't know how you pulled yourself up on that slanting hold!

  • Slam a bolt in the fucker! ;-j

  • @fultonville If you put a bolt in on a grit route you would probally get your legs broken ;)

  • Yeah- is E7 7a harder than a 9a sport route? Doubt it. Seriously- drop the ego before it drops you.

  • Why cant this guy grade climbs properly - does he only climb his own climbs or something.

  • 'England's Hardest Route' ? Hmm.

  • not really that slider holds a fall so only the top bits not safe. when pete robins did it he did it twice because he found it so easy. i wish james pearson would grade routes properly because it takes away from how good a climber he is,

  • nice one mate

  • wow, I've never seen a climber get treated like a real athlete! Someone cleans his shoes off for him! Think of boxing where someone poors water in your mouth for you. I think climbers should get special treatment more often.

  • not quit the hardest route and can you even call it a route. very nice though

  • Now downgraded to E7 7a, good send though!

  • E8 7a actually, although one or two people said it was E7.

  • superb shows the grit and commitment at its best
