@runescapeep1c To be honest, I've memorised the level layouts and enemy locations so I just play without that spell. I've actually never used the Second Chance spell in any of my playthroughs. The only miracles I equip are Evacuate (to help with quicker farming) and God's Wrath. This is one game where I found it to be fun dying and then restarting from the beginning of a level, it helped me become a better player :)

@livinglegend085 You can get a lot of good equipment by finding them on the floor, the Purple Shield can be found on 1-1 near the dragons nest area. The Rune Sword and Rune Shield (the one in this video) can be gotten by defeating Ostrava or you can get it easier by falling off a certain ledge in 3-2 and finding both (check some videos for better guidance). Upgrading is the way to go when trying to achieve better weapons such as the Meat Cleaver (upgrade easy from a Club+0).

@livinglegend085 Also, as for good armour, you can get Yurt's Gloom set by killing him straight after freeing him. Old King Doran drops the Ancient King's set which is also very good for a Male character.

@livinglegend085 True, it can be frustrating. Once you get the Meat Cleaver and Dragon Bone Smasher it's huge fun smashing enemies down lol. About those dragons, they disappear when World 1 is at Pure White tendency. Another way to get the shield if you don't want to wait for the white tendency is to go to the bridge past the nest area; once the red dragon appears at the bridge just run like mad back to the nest and pick up the shield. Even if you die, you get to keep the shield :)

@livinglegend085 purple flame shield +10 is one of the best shields in the game some ppl say its the best cause at rank 10 its got 82... or 83 guard break reduction meaning your stamina barley takes a hit when blocking personally i use tower shield its got the highest guard break of 85% and better magic defense then purple flame 100/60/90 (tower) and 100/30/90 (purple flame) but it weighs like 30 lbs so its not 1st choice for most ppl dark silver shield should be everyones backup shield though

@livinglegend085 by playing it and finding the gear that rune shield is a turd but the meat cleaver is a real good weapon in fact the only weapon that has "S" rating on 2 different stat bonuses STR and DEX and an "A" rating in magic damage off faith
