this video on the xbox 360 is what made me want to play ffxi, i almost cried while watching it, it brought an emotional response, and when i did play the game, i had a friend that had been playing since beta, and he helped my out big time getting started, for anyone who is debating on geting this, im going to say, but i warn you, its sucks major monkey nuts at first, untill you get to lvl 20, it sucks, then it start to get fun with the parties, and getting your chocobo and all.

Nah, it only needs a silver membership to run it (The free one). Part of what took so long for an xbox port was having to negotiate with Microsoft about the game not having to run through xbox live. So it still runs through PlayOnline (The client used to start the game).

It's definitely worth buying. But you must have a lot of time to commit to it, or you may get bored with the slow progress! All in all it's a fantastic game, and an immersive perpetual universe. Just don't lose your real life if you buy it, because many people have!

There's only guns in FFXI in certain classes e.g Corsair, but they're not shoot happy still, it's still turn based for firing, much like magic.

wow = ehhhhh its kinda sucks xD and i heard its way easy to level and make some gil but i havent played it seems kinda gay xD but final fantasy XI it challengeing and theres alot of cool people and its kinda hard to level at first but then later you get used to it and level it like nothing its challengeing and fun and has more things then WoW like WoW you can only have 1 job but in FFXI you can have like 20 jobs and there all fun...in my opinion id go..WoW < FFXI (im playing FFXI right now) :DDD

WoW is for children and retards, FFXI if for adults and intelligent children gameplay is about the same as WoW but much more in depth gameplay, everything in this game takes a long time to accomplish unlike WoW where u can play for a month and be Uber FFXI takes multi-months and on into years.

FFXI is by far NOT worth paying the money to play. It has an interesting storyline that is bogged down by completely unnecessary amounts of grinding. If someone insists on playing it, make sure you have at least 5 other people signing up with you that you can level with. Otherwise it's a world of pain.

You do realize that this game game, (not this expansion trailer) is about 5-6 years old. IMO they graphics are still pretty good despite the age, not to mention the gameplay is whats still amazing about it.

compare ffx and ffx-2, ffx is way better mainly cause of Tidus and ffx-2 is suck cause u get to play 2 girl from ffx and Paine the new girl join them too and i don't even get y she's there the first place anyway since ffx didn't even mention her nor we saw her in ffx.

ffx-2 is suck as well to and after that, ff11, ff12 is also suck.

there's only hope that ff13 don't suck, but if it doesn't has a cool hero and heroine like ff7/8/9/x, it'll suck even more.
